My jewelry used to be stored in a large jewelry armoire. I have a lot of jewelry and felt I needed something that large to keep it organized. When we decided we might move out of state, I had a big sale and sold much of my costume jewelry, keeping my gems and precious metals. However this meant I no longer needed a large jewelry armoire.
I knew I wanted something to store my jewelry, but I wasn’t sure what until I saw a set of Ampersand Stackable Jewelry Trays at my local Bed Bath & Beyond store. This was exactly what I needed, and I would be able to turn one of my bathroom cabinet drawers into a jewelry box!
Ampersand offers a variety of jewelry trays that neatly stack one inside the other. The types that they have to choose from offer a variety of storage for necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings. The larger trays retailed for $22.99 and the smaller trays were $10.99. I was able to choose from their Gold Small 3-Compartment Tray, Gold Small 5-Compartment Tray, Gold Small 15-Compartment Tray, Gold Large 20-Compartment Tray, and a Gold Large 8-Compartment Tray.
The dimensions of the large sized trays are 10.3″ in length, 12.4″ in width, and 1.4″ in height. The smaller trays measure 6″ in length, 10″ in width and 1.4″ in height. The small trays are sized to fit together just like the larger trays.
This tray has three compartments. The two side compartments are great for storing bracelets while the center compartment has seven slots for storing rings. If you own the lever back style earrings, the rounded ends can also slip easily into the ring slots.

This tray has five compartments that each measure ten inches long, so it is a good tray for storing your necklaces or bracelets. You can lay them flat and won’t have to worry about getting knots in your chains.
Ampersand Gold Small 15-Compartment Stackable Jewelry Tray
One of my favorite versions of the jewelry trays is this fifteen compartment design. I own two of these trays because I have a lot of earrings. Between the two trays I can store thirty different pair of earrings. The sections are large enough that you could easily place two or three earrings in each one, but I like to keep mine separated so it’s easier to find a specific pair.

I also have two of these trays because they are so versatile. It looks like the small fifteen compartment tray and the small five compartment trays have been added together. There are fifteen compartments for earrings and five long compartments for necklaces or bracelets.
Ampersand Gold Large 8-Compartment Stackable Jewelry Tray
This is the one version that I do not own, and it was not in stock at my local store. It can be purchased through the Bed Bath & Beyond website however. There are eight total compartments. One half has six cubicles and the other half is divided into two sections: a long slot for rings and a large open area.
I personally loved getting all of my jewelry hidden away, it makes it more secure and it also makes my bedroom look less cluttered. These are a bit expensive, but they look very upscale. The gold exterior looks like leather, but it is not. The interior sections are lined with a soft velvet like material.
Some jewelry trays that I looked at looked very cheap in comparison, and the dividers were not secure, sliding back and forth. The dividers on these trays are secure! These trays are made exclusively for the Bed Bath & Beyond stores. They allow you to store your jewelry in a drawer, or you can stack them on your dresser to make a jewelry tower. I love these trays, they are definitely worth the money I spent on them.
