Since I was little I had problems with one tooth. I have had numerous root canals and caps placed on this tooth. My dentist told me that after each root canal on the same tooth. The percentage of success goes down. So this last time that I went to the dentist, and received the terrible news that the tooth was going to have to be extracted. I wanted to die! The tooth is in an area that is visible when I talk and I was just sick with dread. The dentist told me that for my health the tooth really needed to come out, and plus the crown kept falling off because of the infection. So I let him pull the tooth, and he promised that he would make me something to replace the tooth within one week.
After one week of torture, and barricading myself in my house. I even covered my mouth when I spoke to my husband. I finally talked to my dental office and they told me that a bridge was not an option for me it would not hold, So they would have to do a partial and it would not be ready for 2 weeks. Well thats when I really started to panic. My anniversary was only a week away and I had had this night planned for over a year ( 7 year wedding anniversary). I was worried that the prices were cheap because it was going to be poor quality. So I waited in line for about 10 minutes and then the receptionist opened the door, I signed in and took my paperwork to fill out. Now the way I figured it out was that they do Impressions first thing for full dentures, then they do them for partials. Then if someone needs extractions they do them mid-morning. The waiting room was pleasant and the television had a commentary on the practice and how things worked. The chairs were a little uncomfortable, but I’m not complaining I would have walked across hot coals to get my tooth. I was called back and an impression of my teeth was made. The doctor said he would go ahead and release me. You have to come back in the afternoon to pick up your teeth, Whether it be a partial or a denture. They take a break from 12:00-2:00 and thats when the teeth are made.
The reason they are able to offer such reasonable prices is the fact that they have an in office lab, they buy in bulk and they only cater to denture/partial patients. Thats also why appointments are not necessary. So after my impressions I was released and I went shopping with my aunt who was kind enough to make the trip with me.
We returned at 1:30 to pick up my tooth and I was nervous, I prayed it would fit and look natural. After a wait and watching some interesting talk shows in the waiting room my name was called. I walked to the back and they gave me my partial. It was great I swear it looked more natural than my real tooth did. It fit well and I was just so pleased that I almost started crying. Everyone there was friendly and pleasant, they made you feel comfortable. Plus you don’t have to worry about having missing teeth because everyone was there for the same reason.
I recommend affordable denture to everyone, they have fast friendly service. Keep in mind that normally in a dental office it takes 2-3 weeks to receive a partial or denture.
