Action City is a place that is full of entertainment, fun, and great food! It is located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and offers people of all ages over 55,000 square feet of rides, games, and great food. This place turns any adult into a kid again for awhile!
Action City opened up in Eau Claire in 2005 and it is a popular place to hang out and have fun at. They are located at 2403 Lorch Avenue in Eau Claire on the south side of the city off of Interstate 94. They are open Sunday through Thursday from 11 am-9 pm, Friday from 11 am-11 pm, and on Saturday from 10 am- 11 pm. You are sure to have a fun time here!
They have an indoor go kart track that costs $5 per ride and it is a blast! You can race your friends and others on the track to see who gets the best time! Watch out behind you though because others like to bump you around to gain the lead. There is a height requirement to go on this ride.
The adventure maze is an 8,000 square foot maze that you have to find colorful flags in. There are also hidden treasures along the way that you should pick up. The more treasure you find, the more tickets you win for cooler prizes. Everybody was having a good time running around in here.
They also have batting cages where you can test out your swing at. They have mini golf where you need to avoid all the fun traps that try to keep you from winning. On the bumper cars they have, you can take your aggression out at on others as you bump into them.
Action City also offers mini bowling with small bowling balls and pins. The lane is even a smaller version of a normal bowling alley! Above the four small lanes as alley cats hanging down by the monitors. Then at the end of the lane on top are pictures of trash cans and the walls surrounded you are made out of brick to give you the feel of being in a really alley way. It is really cute to watch the kids bowl because the balls are the perfect size and weight for them.
Don’t forget to check out the arcade and play games from hunting to fighting to skeet ball to dance-dance revolution and many others. Then head over to the climbing wall which looks like a lava filled volcano! No matter what you want to do, they have it all!
After you work up an appetite, you can head over to the food area and grab a bite to eat. They serve a great Monkey in the Middle Pizza. That is Action City’s name brand pizza and they make it how you want it. It is so good! We got a cheese and pepperoni and they really packed on the toppings. They also serve hotdogs, nachos, subs, tacos, steaks, salads, sandwiches, and many other quick and easy meals.
Action City is completely smoke free, so you can take your kids there and not worry about the smoke! The environment is colorful and fun. When we went there, there were people of all ages having fun and laughing. Grandparents were running around with the grandkids, parents were smiling and laughing, and kids were smiles from ear to ear.
The coolest part about Action City that instead of using money, the machines all take a pre loaded card called the fun license. All you do is purchase credits on here and off you go to play whatever you want! It is a great way for the kids to carry the money by themselves.
Most of the games you win tickets at that you can redeem for some pretty cool prizes. They offer prizes from lava lamps to giant stuffed animals to jewelry and many other items. We gave all our tickets to a little girl and see smiled so big and gave us a hug! Later we saw her with a giant teddy bear. It was very cute.
During different nights of the week, they offer different packages as specials. You can get some good deals on the games, meals and drinks for a group of people. They also have great birthday party package deals and private rooms to use for the party. What better place to have your birthday party at? Your friends will be sure to remember it!
My husband and I had a blast here and we don’t have any kids! We didn’t know what to do first when we got in here. So no matter how old you are, you will have a fun time at Action City in Eau Claire.
