The “Great Wolf Lodge” is definitely the place to be during the cold winter months. Usually most people don’t think of visiting a water park during the winter months, but this one is located indoors. The “Williamsburg Indoor Water Park” really helps you to forget that it is the winter, or early spring months. Many families find that spring break is also a good time to visit the “Great Wolf Lodge”, since they have even more activities for the kids and the prices are not bad either.

The fun at the Great Wolf Lodge begins the minute you check into your room. All of their rooms are suites and are kid friendly. There is the family suite which has two queen size beds and a living room with a sleeper sofa. It also has a balcony that can overlook the water park itself. If you want to upgrade a bit you can choose to stay in the king sofa suite. This suite has one king size bed, a living room with the sleeper sofa, desk, internet access, and of course your own private patio.
One of the best suites at the Williamsburg Indoor Water Park is known as “The Wolf Den Suite”. This suite comes with a cave themed bedroom made just for the kids. It has a bunk bed, and even a television just for them. The parents get their own queen size bed and the sofa and balcony. This is definitely the room to stay in if you have children but still want a little privacy for yourself. If however your kids don’t like the cave theme they could always go to the Kid Kamp Suite. The Kid camp suite has a tent themed bedroom with bunk beds and a television for the kids. The adult area is the same as the Wolf Den Suite. They also have additional rooms which are similar to the ones mentioned here. Your water park passes are also included with the room, although this could change so make sure than you call to double check. The rates for each room do vary greatly. If you visit the Great Wolf Lodge in Virginia they do currently have some special packages that you can choose. There is Wiley’s Winter fest which starts at $219 per night. Included in your package are your passes to the indoor water park, the animated clock tower show, wolf walk, story time, and more kid themed activities. The Wiliamsburg Indoor Water Park, also offers the Winter fest Wolf Wakeup package, which starts at $249 per night. With this package you get breakfast for the whole family at the Loose Moose Cottage, pajama story time, and of course passes to the Williamsburg Indoor Water Park. There is also a pretty princess party for the girls that includes a spa ice cream manicure. The Princess package starts at $229 per night, and you can check their website for additional information. If you are looking for additional activities other than just the Williamsburg Indoor Water Park, you could also take a walk over to the Elements Spa. This is great for parents who just want a minute to themselves to relax a bit. For the kids there is the Northern Lights Arcade where you can get tickets for each game and trade them for some really nice prizes.
When the family gets hungry you can visit The Bear Claw Café, for a sweet snack. They are open every day from 6:30am to 11:pm. They offer coffees, homemade fudge and pastries and of course ice cream and much more.
