So, go ahead and clean your vintage screen doors off. You can use a small hand brush or even a vacuum. Replace any damaged screens, they will be in your bedroom near your head, so you do not want to get scratched.

Now, paint out your vintage screen doors in any color you want. I like to use milk paint, but you can use any paint you want. If you are using multiple screen doors that are really different try painting them all the same color for a more pulled together vintage look.

For a fun whimsical vintage headboard try painting them all in different colors!

Now, you need to decided if you want your Vintage Screen Door Headboard to have the doors standing vertically or horizontally. The choice is yours.

Full, Queen, and King sized bed might prefer to have the doors resting horizontally, while twine beds might need to vintage screen doors place vertically.

Now, pre drill a hole in the corner of each door. 4 holes per door. Make these about 1 to 2 inches in from the edges.

Now, slip on a washer, then a screw into the hole and use this to attach your Vintage Screen Door Headboard to the wall.

If you are not drilling into studs on the wall then use screw anchors. This is necessary.

Now, place the first vintage screen door on the wall. Have a friend help old it level and stead. Simply screw straight into your wall anchor or the stud.

Repeat on all four corners of the Vintage Screen Door Headboard.

Now, set your next vintage screen door in place on top of the first door, or right next to it. Repeat the steps for hanging!

Now, roll your bed back into place and you are finished.

Color will make this Vintage Screen Door Headboard really stand out and pop in your vintage décor. Try using a rustic red milk paint color for a nice accent.

You can also use clips and small pins to hand fun family photos, vintage postcards, and artwork from the screens in the Vintage Screen Door Headboard.

For more color and a fuller look try pinning fabric in the Vintage Screen Door Headboard before you hang it up.

Face the fabric forward and use flat push pin to adhere it the door!
