Guide to KOA Campgrounds in New Hampshire

Summer is a great time to plan a camping trip at KOA with family or friends in New Hampshire and experience everything the wilderness and White Mountains have to offer. The campgrounds are great places to visit when it comes to camping, with many being in perfect locations for traveling to local attractions or being equipped to provide fun for you and your family during your stay. KOA is also a cheap alternative to more expensive campgrounds. The following is a guide to KOA Campgrounds in New Hampshire.

Chocorua KOA

Located in Chocorua, New Hampshire this KOA campground is located in the heart of the White Mountains and offers easy traveling to Mt. Chocorua, Lake Winnipesaukee, the Kancamagus Highway, Outlet Shopping and the many lakes and hiking trails that surround the Mt. Washington area.

This KOA features waterfront and shady sites with hookups, water and sewer connections for RV’s. There are also primitive sites for tents and Super Sites that are furnished if you are looking for a cabin to use on your vacation. Fire pits, BBQ grills, a large pool, playground for the kids, a beach, boat rentals, cable in certain cabins and free Wi-Fi are also offered here. Another amenity offered is a pet park and Doggie Daycare for a small fee. If you plan to stay a week or more take advantage of the planned activities, trail hiking and Saturday night ice cream social.

Littleton / Lisbon KOA

Located in Lisbon, NH. with easy access to I-93 this KOA campground offers beautiful views of the White Mountains while allowing you to experience all of the natural attractions New Hampshire and Vermont offer. I personally have stayed at this KOA since my family and I enjoy hiking and I have family in the immediate area. The hosts are very friendly and will give you a lot of good information if you plan to hike through the woods in the area.

The campground sits on the Ammonoosuc River and offers RV parking and hookups, along with primitive and not so primitive camping sites. You also get a fire pit and BBQ grill with your site and non furnished cabins with picnic tables. The camp has a heated pool, hot tub, miniature golf and a play area for the kids. Fishing is available in the Ammonoosuc River, Echo Lake and Profile Lake where the Old Man on the Mountain stood over. You can also travel up Cannon Mountain for beautiful views of the valley surrounding you or take a trip to Mount Washington and travel up the cog railway.

Twin Mountain KOA –

Located in New Hampshire’s Twin Mountain valley this KOA campground offers plenty of things to see and do locally while staying here including visiting Mount Washington. Santa’s Village, Six Gun City, Story Land and North Conway’s famous outlet malls.

The grounds offer miles of guided or unguided trail tours through the woods surrounding the property and are full of local wildlife like black bears, moose and raccoons among others. You can also fish here, bike around the countryside or take a guided nature walk in the woods. There are pull-through RV sites with full hookups, cabins with or without furnishings and primitive and non primitive tent areas with picnic tables, grills and fire pits at every station on the grounds. You can also stay in a Boston & Maine Railroad “Camper’s Caboose” which includes cozy accommodations.

Woodstock/Broken Branch KOA

Located in Woodstock this KOA campground is perfect for camping and fishing next to the Pemigewasset River. The campgrounds offer RV parking with full hookups, primitive and non primitive camp sites for tents and furnished and non furnished cabins. They also offer a heated pool, playground area for the kids, covered group and picnic areas, fire rings and grills at each site, miniature golf, hay rides, free Wi-Fi and a game Room with TV’s.

While in the area you can also take in the natural beauty of the White Mountains and the Kancamagus Highway which is famous for its fall foliage or the North Conway outlet malls.
