The Best Digital Scrapbooking Freebie Sites

Alphas

I first discovered digital scrapping over a year ago, and I was hooked from the start. Most of the kits I fell in love with though were usually found in online stores, and at the time I just couldn’t afford to put out money for my hobby. Fortunately, I knew my way around my graphics program, and began designing kits myself. I give away a lot of freebies now on my personal blog, but I also have a list of incredible sites that I go to on a regular basis.

If you love to preserve your family memories through digital scrapbooking, but can’t afford to purchase the sometimes-costly kits in online digi-scrap stores, take heart! There are some truly fantastic “freebie” websites that are dedicated to providing you top-notch kits and elements for the fabulously low price of $0.00. What could be better than that?

Here is my list of the best websites for quality digital scrapbooking items. I hope you find them useful, and as fun as I have. I will warn you though; you may find yourself glued to your computer far more often than you like once you get started!

Digiscrap Depot
Digiscrap Depot is my #1 favorite site. Here you will find literally thousands of free digital items for your personal use. You can sort through them by categories or by theme, and there are previews of what each kit or element looks like. If you like it, simply click the link to download it from the designer’s website.

IkeaGoddess
Vast amounts of daily freebies, listed on a nice, clean blog. Easy to navigate, and not as cluttered as some other freebie sites you might find. This is a great site to add to your daily freebie hunt list!

Shabby Princess
Not as many downloads as the other sites, but the kits at Shabby Princess are gorgeous! I have downloaded every single one of them, and they all have a very classy and elegant feel to them. If you like the distressed look, you will love the freebies at Shabby Princess. They also offer a free desktop wallpaper each month at their blog. (http://shabbyprincess.typepad.com/shabby_princess)

Imagine By Fran
Absolutely divine freebies! Fran has such a unique design style, and all of her kits are simply lovely. She is at the top of my list of favorite freebie designers. I highly suggest visiting her site on a regular basis.

Digital Scrapbooking Freebies
A beautiful full kit every month, absolutely free. Papers, elements, vintage ephemera, design tools, quick pages, and alphas are all included in these kits. I look forward to these kits every month!

Raspberry Road Designs
Raspberry Road has tons of great kits! With a lot of different styles, you are sure to find something that you love. I check this site on a weekly basis, and download the kits that jump out at me.

Creative Victorian
The site is a bit over-cluttered for my taste, but there are so many freebies that it is worth the time to wade through it. Creative Victorian offers elegant, vintage-styled kits and elements that you might not find elsewhere. They also have multiple links to other great freebie sites that they are a part of. If you are running a resolution of lower than 1024×768, you may want to skip this site. Even at this resolution, I still have to scroll side to side when using my FireFox browser.

With a Russian/Dutch Heart
Not only can you find many great freebies here, but you can also find long lists of other freebie sites. Make sure to add this to your favorite freebies list, as the links change often, and you will never be without a place to pick up great free scrap items.

These should get you started. If you would like to see more lists of this kind, just leave me a comment and let me know. Happy freebie hunting, and I wish you much success in your digital scrapping journey!
