Skewers, kabobs and popsicle sticks – oh, my!
The basic corn dog simply isn’t enough anymore, when it comes to Midwestern American state fair foods.
The 2010 Wisconsin State Fair boasted at least 60 varieties of food on a stick, offered by the annual Badger State agricultural extravaganza’s many concessionaires. With more than more than 876,000 visitors attending and indulging in a wide variety of snacks on the run, Wisconsin State Fair food vendors branched out to present a plethora of conveniently packaged items.
Wisconsin State Fair participants forked over big bucks to partake of more than 60 hearty foods, all served on sticks.
From fruits to fried items, and from cheese to chocolate, here are 60 foods on a stick found at the 2010 Wisconsin State Fair (held August 5th through 15th at Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wisconsin).

Considering the dietary ramifications of the contents of these 60 foods on a stick, folks have to wonder how difficult it might be to maintain a slim and twig-like physique, rather than a wide trunk. (And perhaps the foods-on-a-stick offerings help to explain the increased appearances of inverted grins at the fair each year.)
