4th of July Fireworks in Tucson, Arizona

The key choice people make over the 4th of July holiday is where to go to see fireworks. There are a few places in Tucson, Arizona where you can go to see fantastic fireworks displays. Since Independence Day falls on a Monday this year, there is an array of fireworks shows to keep you entertained all weekend.

KiiM-FM Freedom Festival

The Freedom Festival is an all day, outdoor concert that will be held at the Kino Sports Complex Soccer Fields. The gates open at 3pm with the show starting with Neil Russell hitting the stage at 4pm. The music continues with Ash Bowers, Sunny Sweeney, Steve Holy, and Tracy Lawrence. The fireworks display is compliments of the US Army and is set to begin at 10:15pm. General admission is $20 if you get your tickets before July 1st. Tickets are $30 at the gate on the day of the concert. Children 12 and under are free with a paying adult. Parking is free to this event. Fireworks Spectacular

Tucson’s largest fireworks display is going to be beginning on July 3rd at 8pm. The show will take place at the AVA Amphitheater which is located at Casino Del Sol. Celebrate the 17th anniversary of the casino, Independence Day, and observe the lighting of the new hotel dome. Parking and the fireworks display are free. If you get hungry, there are a few different restaurants inside the casino including Moby’s, the Tequila Factory, An Del Sol, Abuelita’s, and The Buffet.

Tucson College Presents: Red, White, and Boom

Tucson College has assembled a fun day of music, food, and fireworks on July 3rd at the Pima County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 5pm and the first band hits the stage an hour later. Come enjoy the music of Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, Calexico, and Savor: A Tribute to Santana. The show ends with a fireworks show at 10:10pm. Tickets are free to the event and are available at Tucson College, Cricket Wireless, Famous Sam’s, Los Portales, and Naughton’s Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling.

Tucson Padres Star Spangled Spectacular

If you still haven’t had your fill of fireworks by the 4th of July, go watch the Tucson Padres play the Reno Aces at Kino Stadium. General admission tickets are $6.50. Gates open at 6pm and the game starts at 7pm. Enjoy ballpark food such as hot dogs, hamburgers, and peanuts. Parking is free, and there will be a post game fireworks display for fans to watch. 15th Annual A Mountain Fireworks

Finally, the 4th of July fireworks show that most Tucsonans wait for A Mountain. The show will be held at the Tucson Convention Center in Parking Lot B. This year it will be presented by Desert Diamond Casinos and Entertainment. From 7pm to 9pm, come enjoy food and beverages, as well as a car show put on by the Southern Arizona Mustang Club. The fireworks show begins at 9:15. Parking is free, but it is advisable to arrive a bit early to get a closer spot.

Over the Independence Day weekend, there are certainly going to be firework displays in Tucson, Arizona. The shows begin on the 2nd and continue until the night of the 4th with the last show being the fireworks on A Mountain.
