Clip in Hair Extensions, Green Baby, Ombre

2012: Another year, another new you. Hot new hair colors and styles are always hitting the salons. Whether you are blonde, red, gray or brunette there is always a new color you can try even if it’s not one of the hottest shades. The color you choose might be something totally new to you, and not everyone else.

When switching up your hair shade it not only makes you feel good, but sometimes depending on the shade can make your hair look a lot healthier. So what’s hot for 2012?

Ombre Hair Continues It’s Popularity

Ombre hair has been going extremely strong since 2010. Why? Because this technique is fun, creative, and definitely very versatile. The way to go back in 2010 was to dye your hair light and have dark ends. Do the reverse for 2012, and aim for a real dark shade and have extremely light ends. Example: a deep rich brown, and apply platinum on the tips. Or a deep red and apply a honey on the tips. One thing with Ombre hair is, you can go as bold or as creative as you desire.

Peekaboo Highlights Loved Not Only By Celebrities

Peekaboo highlights have been around for some time now. However, more and more celebrities are making this trend huge once again. One celebrity in-particular is Selena Gomez, who is known to be the girlfriend of Justin Bieber. Ever since this talented celebrity showed up at the 2011 American Music Awards with her dark tresses and caramel highlights defining her curls, it’s been trending with all the salons and fans. Any color goes with this technique.

2012 why not give baby pink a shot, purple, emerald, bright blue, platinum, red, burgundy, black, mahogany, and even gray? Expect to see these shades a whole lot this year.

Vibrant, Bodacious, Multi-Shades

Purple, blue, green, Baby yellow and bright red are amongst the hottest multi-shade colors for 2012. These colors look hot with some of your dark shades such as raven black, dark deep chocolate, bodacious cherry or even a deep mahogany.

Streaks Of Beauty

When you think of streaks first thought that comes to mind is highlights right? Well, streaks are just slightly different. You can use any color desired, and place them anywhere on the head. And your applying placement DOES NOT have to be perfect. Matter of fact the sloppier and thinner the better. Hot choices for 2012 are peach, pink, yellow, bold red, or even white. Make them as natural as possible or as bold and vibrant as you desire. No need to use foil, just brush or paint them on dry hair, and allow the color to process for 30-40 minutes depending on your base color.

If your afraid to experiment, go ahead and purchase a few clip in hair extensions. This way you can see the total change without having to place any chemicals on your hair.
