You Can Make Money with Your Smartphone

Let me start by saying you will not get rich making money with your smartphone. However, if you have spare time, such as a long car ride, you can make a few dollars. If nothing else you can cover your coffee habit, wait that’s me.

I have tested many money making apps. The few listed here are those that were easy to use and give fairly quick payouts. Some of these make money with your smartphone apps pay actual money, while others “pay” with points that you then redeem for gift cards.

Jingit
I have found Jingit the easiest of the money making apps. To make money through the Jingit app all you have to do is watch commercials and then answer a few questions. The questions usually ask something like, “Have you tried ____?”.

The payment ranges, but the lowest I have seen is $0.12. The videos are usually quite short, so for about a minute worth of time you can make anywhere from $0.12 – $0.20.

The biggest disadvantage of Jingit is that you have to get their debit card to get your money. The debit card is free but I hate having to carry another card. A huge advantage of Jingit is that you can also use the Jingit web site to watch videos and earn money.

Checkpoints
Check in while shopping and scan products to make money with your smartphone through the Checkpoints app. The stores listed are large national chains such as CVS, Walgreens, and Target. I rarely scan products because its a pain, especially in Target where I rarely get enough of a signal for the app to work.

Most check in’s and product scans are worth 15 points. Rewards can be earned for as little as 335 points. However, you will lose points if you are in active. So be sure to check in at least once every 30 days to avoid loss of points.

ShopKick
Kicks are earned by walking into a store that is part of the ShopKick program. Stores such as American Eagle, GNC, and Hot Topic are part of the program. Kicks are usually 30 or 60 points and a few stores also have kicks for scanning products.

Rewards can be earned for as little as 25 kicks. The selection of rewards is minimal but includes Starbucks and Target so still worth it.

Whaff
The Whaff app takes a lot more work that the other make money with your smartphone apps. With Whaff you earn money by installing apps and opening them. I only install the apps that say install and open to get paid. I then immediately uninstall the program. There have been no ill effects to my phone and so far I have earned over $6.00 while riding in my car. Once you earn $5.00 just request payment. The payment is sent straight to your PayPal account.

You can also earn $0.20 for recruiting friends and at the same time your friend will get $0.20. If you so choose my code is AA18473.

iPoll
Another money making app that takes more time. However, with iPoll you do get paid more, IF you qualify for a survey. I rarely do so my progress is slow, however if you fit their demographics you could be making $5 – $10 a week. There are also local polls that pay out $0.10 each. You have to be near the local business and answer a few questions.

iPoll can also be used online or on an iPad. Just be advised that some of the mobile surveys can be accessed online but you WILL NOT get paid if you do it online instead of on your smartphone.
