‘X Factor’ Cher Lloyd a School Bully?

Yesterday, showbiz reporter Dan Wooton tweeted that “X Factor” finalist Cher Lloyd had acted like a diva at an “X Factor” press conference. Cher Lloyd stated that she hates the press so it is not terribly surprising to see an unfavourable story about her in today’s tabloids. Seventeen year old Ophelia Blakeway has spoken to The Sun newspaper, claiming that Cher Lloyd bullied her at school for two years.

Ophelia Blakeway told the newspaper that Cher made her life a misery when they were at school together with verbal abuse – leading to Blakeway self harming, suffering from depression and needing counselling to help her get over it.

According to Blakeway, one of Cher Lloyd’s favourite forms of bullying was using attacks of a personal nature. Ophelia Blakeway’s mother left her when she was three years old and Blakeway claims that Cher told her that her mother must have been disappointed in her

Blakeway also spoke of her most frightening experience with Cher Lloyd which occurred in the school P.E changing rooms, saying, “Her and all her mates were up for a fight – she has been in a lot of fights. They kept looking over and laughing. She had control over them. They were scared of her. She walked over and ripped at my hair – grabbed hold of it because I had a bun. I was so shocked. She yanked it so my head went down as if it was a warning to say she had power. I backed off and she called me a waste of space. She looked me up and down, with a threatening stare. She told me if I ever looked at her or told anyone, she would hit me.”

Although Ophelia Blakeway told her father and school teachers about Cher Lloyd’s bullying, nothing was done about it as there was never any proof.

Blakeway also said, “”What people are saying about her being fragile is nonsense. She’s stubborn and strong.”

These potentially damaging claims about Cher Lloyd come at the end of a week through which people have been angry about her reaching the “X Factor” final twelve. Along with Katie Waissel, many have felt that Lloyd did not deserve her place and as such, she has been going out of her way to prove that she does.

Sadly, after stating that she hates the press and saying, “If you like me, you like me, if you don’t, then see you later.” she may not be endearing herself to the general public.

On the bright side, not everyone believes everything they read in the papers so we will have to wait and see how these new revelations will affect the final votes, Tune in to the “X Factor” tomorrow night on ITV1 to see the explosive first live show!
