Why Yankee Candles Are the Best

Yankee Candle

I have had a lot of experience with Yankee Candles while in retail sales. I tested the candles when they came onto the market and let me just say If you have ever tried a Yankee Candle in your home then I can guarantee that you’re a fan of their brand. Yankee Candles are amazing in every aspect of their product. Their large jars last for what seems like forever, they carry a whole line of smaller and less expensive Tarts, and their scents are the best offered by any candle company around.

Yankee Candles have a long burn time period, but with their large jars you get on average 100+ hours of burn time! You may get more or less depending on a lot of factors but still over one hundred hours, four full days of burn time is pretty amazing. When you think about the difference between your average air freshener in a can that you have to spray every few hours compared to the continual scent of a Yankee Candle… well there really is no comparison.

Aside form their jar candles Yankee Candle Co. also carries a great line of Tarts. These are smaller versions of each candle that resemble a flower in shape and are about as big as the palm of your hand. They are used in small special burners and melt in hot wax and give off scents that are just like what you would find in the Yankee Jars, the difference is that they seem to put out a larger radius of scent, and cost under two dollars for one Tart. Each will last for about two or three burn cycles in your burner, and can be easily removed and replaced. Also with stronger scents like Sea Breeze and Clean Cotton, you may not need to burn the entire tart. Break it in half or divide it into fourths to make each last a bit longer without sacrificing scent.

Now Yankee is known for their variety of scents and they should be. Yankee Candle has produced hundreds of scents since they were founded. Some of the most popular include Macintosh Apple, Rose, Clean Cotton, Vanilla Cookie, and many more. Each scent has it’s own unique characteristics that sets it apart form anything found in the candle market today. When you catch a whiff of Rose, or Vanilla Cookie you can close your eyes and easily imagine walking in a rose garden or coming in the front door of your home and a hot tray of cookies has just come out of the oven, it’s truly amazing how Yankee has been able to capture smells the way they do.

The candles can be a bit expensive, but check out the specials Yankee runs each moth at your local retailer. Yankee always has a scent of the month that usually runs about 20% off regular price which means that you can buy a great seasonal scent for a bit less then you would normally spend. In October Pumpkin Spice is the Scent, and in December it’s Mistletoe, so Yankee does try and coincide their sales with the seasons. Also look for upcoming discontinued scents. When a scent is not manufactured anymore many retailers will be looking to get rid of their remaining stock, so be sure to check out these sales as well!
