Many of the series are complete, every book scanned for you to read. Others are updated whenever a new book in a series comes out.
Please remember, and the site mentions this as well, that the manga are owned by other companies and writers, and if you really love a series you are reading then you should support those writers and buy them. One Manga allows you to sample different series before buying, as well as allowing you to read manga that are not available where you live.
Tokyopop
One of the leaders of the manga industry, Tokyopop, is another great place to find manga to read. There is so much to do here on this website. You get glimpses of books about to come out so you can decide to buy them or not. They also have their own manga titles for you to read online, completely for free. There is one thing that is even better than what I just mentioned, and that is how you can read original manga created by writers and fans. They provide their work on the site, and you can read, enjoy, and rate them.
Browse the rest of the site for other goodies, like merchandise based on your favorite manga. Or, if you are a great writer or artist, maybe take on an internship at Tokyopop.
