What Do Our Dreams Really Mean?

It is something that we all do every single day of our lives. We can do it while awake and while asleep. There are countless ideas as to why we do it, but what do our dreams really mean? Why do you always dream your falling, or that you run as fast as you can but do not seem to go anywhere? Are these dreams really as simply as they may seem? Or, maybe instead they have entirely different meaning all together.

Probably the most common dream, is the one where you find yourself falling or sinking. This usually involves you feeling frightened or tense, it is not necessarily a pleasant relaxing fall. A dream like this will more often then not signify a fear of feeling insecure or possibly you are left in your waking life without much support from those around you. These dreams will also occur when you are feeling extremely overwhelmed and on the brink of just simply giving up.

Dreams of being chased by either a person you may or may not know or some sort of monster is also extremely common amongst us. There is a real sense of fear that begins to overcome us. This usually comes about because something or someone may be having you feel threatened. Depending on what or whom is chasing you will help you to find the reasons behind the feeling of threat.

Another very common dream is where we begin to have our teeth decay or they may be missing. Sometimes you may even witness them falling out. This is an extremely horrifying experience to those who experience it. The main reason behind this sort of a dream is that we fear that we are viewed as unattractive. The loss of teeth shows are imperfections to ourselves as well as to the world. This is of course silly, because you are gorgeous, just the way you are.

Anything relating to nudity, whether you are walking down the hall naked, maybe someone else is, or possibly you are just wearing pajamas at a school situation is also very common. This usually pertains to you feeling exposed in your real lives. Possibly you may have revealed to much about yourself to others. The sense of you being naked physically is really telling you of your fear of being naked mentally to those you know.

A dream where you are ill or dying can interestingly be a warning to yourself that possibly something unpleasant is going to happen to you. Of course this is not always the case, it could just be your psyche is trying to tell you of the fear of losing someone, or possibly they see a part of you as being dead. These dreams can also come about before an illness, and again can be seen as a slight warning.

The meanings and interpretations of dreams can be explained for days. Just like our waking emotions, our sleeping emotions are just as complicated to describe and complex. Whether something else influences these dreams or it is just simply ourselves will vary and be hard to pinpoint, one thing is for sure, dreams are just another form for us to communicate or to see how these communications would play out in our waking lives. Good night, and don’t let the bed bugs bite.
