The internet has opened up a whole new way to watch movies from the comfort of your home. Now, not only can you rent movies online and have them sent to your home, but you can actually watch the movies in a streaming format right on your computer. Many sites offer a multitude of links to movies online and others allow you to rent them and watch them directly on their site.
Ovguide.com is the starting point that many people use when looking for sites that offer streaming movies. Streaming movies do not require a download, so you don’t have to worry about viruses and other junk ending up on your computer. Ovguide has a comprehensive listing and description of many of the sites that offer streaming movies, television shows, sporting events and other online video. On Ovguide, you can search by movie title and type. They have a really decent set up for finding exactly what you are looking for.
Online movie forums are another great resource for finding movies to watch online. There are many online movie forums on the web, my favorite is Movieforumz.com. This site list a large library of links to various different types of online video content, movies and more. Occasionally, the site is overwhelmed by traffic and can be hard to access. This problem usually remedies itself within minutes, but you do have to be patient. They keep this site pretty up to date and fresh so that is why I prefer it to some of the other online movie forums.
Movies online in Divx format are best. There are several divx sites that list only movies in divx format. Stage6.com is my favorite divx movie site. They have a pretty wide selection of videos and movies on this site and update frequently with fresh content. To watch movies in divx format, you do have to download either a divx web player or a divx player. This download is well worth the space it takes up on your computer. The divx player is a great way to watch movies.
Blockbuster.com and Netflix.com both offer the availability to watch movies from there site. If you have an online movie membership, you can elect to watch some of your selections directly from there site each month rather than having them mailed out to your home. They don’t always have the same selection that they have for mailing, but there is plenty of online movies to chose from.
Watching movies online is a great way to get your movie fix. There is a great selection of titles available and you don’t have to leave your house or wait for the mail to watch them.
