To make this simple Vintage Wood Window Shutters window treatment you will need:

Vintage Wood Window Shutters

Nail

Hammer

Sheet of Paper (optional)

Black fine tip Sharpie

Eye hooks

1 – 2 yards of ribbon

Hot glue

Scissors

Tape Measure

The first step is to measure how wide and tall the inside of your window frame is. I like to make this simple Vintage Wood Window Shutters window treatment fit the bottom half of the window, but that are up to you. The Vintage Wood Window Shutters custom window treatment will block a good bit of light, so keep that in mind.

Cut your sheet of paper out to the same size, as your window treatment will be. Use this as a pattern or guide to start laying out your Vintage Wood Window Shutters. Do not be afraid to turn them horizontally as well as the more traditional vertical look. Fit them like a puzzle, but keep room for the eye hooks.

Now, take you small eyehooks and screw them into the then ends of the Vintage Wood Window Shutters where they will need to be attached to another Vintage Wood Window Shutter to hold the whole piece together.

Now, continue this process until you have eyehooks where you need them.

Now, use twine or floral wire to attach the eye hooks together to hold the entire set of Vintage Wood Window Shutters in the shape you need to fit your specific window. This is the custom part of this window treatment.

You also do not have to make this Vintage Wood Window Shutters window treatment as large as your window. You can hang it in the middle and still have an awesome designer look.

Now, install an eyehook in the top left and top right of the panel of Vintage Wood Window Shutters you made. Also install eye hooks in the left and right of your window where you want to hand the window treatment.

Insert 1 20-inch ribbon through each hole. Tie the window panel up.

If you have aluminum window us some of those self-adhesive hooks that stick to wall without damaging them. Tie your two ribbons in a bow and hook them onto the disposable hooks!
