To Build a Vintage Spice Rack For Your Retro Kitchen You Will Need:

1X6’s cut to these lengths:

2 pieces 15″

5 pieces 3″

1 piece 20 ”

1 piece 10 ”

1 inch finish nails

wood glue

hammer

milk paint

paint brush

picture hanging hooks (optional)

To get started lay one 15 inch piece vertically on the left. This will be the left side of the vintage spice rack.

Now, take the 20 inch piece and attach it to the bottom of the 15 inch piece like an L.

Use a bead of wood glue and those one inch finishing nails.

Now, on the right end of the 20 inch piece add one of the 3 inch pieces vertically.

Again, wood glue and 1 inch finishing nails.

NO, add the top shelf to this piece. This will be the second 20 inch piece.

Now, you are ready to add another 5 inch piece on the right end of the 20 inch shelf you just attached. You want to attach this in 5 inches form the right of the edge, so that you can rest the second 15 inch piece on the spice rack like a shelf.

Again, keep with the strip of wood glue and then add the finishing nails.

Now, for the final shelf. You want to add the final 5 inch piece of wood 5 inches from the right edge of the top shelf again.

Now, finish your reproduction vintage spice rack with the final ten inch shelf.

Once you have finished you are ready to pain the spice rack for your retro kitchen.
