Victoria’s Secret: Unlocks the Secret to the Best Bra for Large-Breasted Women!

Bra Shopping

I have been on “both sides of the track” when it comes to chest size. Pre-kids, I was smaller. Post-kids, much larger! Having the luxury of enduring the good and bad of both sizes, I must say being smaller-chested is much easier, less painful, and better. That’s just my opinion. For the last 8 years (since I had my first child) I have been on a quest to find the “perfect bra.” I’ve paid $5.00 for a bra, and forgive me, $180 for one in hopes of some miracle cure. I’ve tried minimizers, maximizers, underwires, no-wires, wraparound lowback convertible strapped contraptions that would make you wonder why on earth anyone would create such nonsense.

I have been professionally measured, yet it does no good, when one brand has demi bras, and full coverage, and plunge, etc. I was beginning to wonder if, with all the bra options, I was car-shopping, or bra-shopping!? I have literally tried hundreds of bra styles and dozens of brand names. Being large-breasted your options are instantly limited. No cute little polka-dotted no-wire bras available for us ladies….no way. And, inevitably, and unfairly, we usually have to pay up to $10 more because of our cup size for a bra, that, let’s face it, style-wise, looks like our Aunt Myrtle wore it in 1927.

Bra advances and major lingerie catalogs and companies are really making advances in making stylish and comfortable bras for larger busted ladies. Of course, Victoria’s Secret is at the forefront of the lingerie world. Until recently, I’ve had years of bad luck with them and their styles too. I stopped buying things for full price, because it was just a waste of money, and would wait to try new bras once they were on mega-clearance. Why waste money, when it wouldn’t be the miracle cure afterall?! These bras would “get me by,” and would be removed and flung across the rom like a slingshot the second I would get home from running errands or what not.

I’ve experienced it all: Great strap support, but looks and feels like a curtain. Great cup support, but completely unlined and, thus, showed the world every time the “temperature dipped.” Great cup shape and padding, but what woman wants to look like she’s wearing football shoulder pads stuffed into their bras?! Minimizers are great, and most really do take up to 2″ off cup size, but are the most unsexy bras ever created. No man would create a minimizer. I think our Aunt Myrtle must have created the design and styling of those things.

About 6 months ago, I thought I should give up on my quest for good bra-idge, when I placed and order from Victoria’s Secret clearance catalog. Once again, I ordered a few styles in their remaining colors, and awaited, (albeit not anxiously), for my package to arrive. The process began, ritualistic, and without much enthusiasm. One by one, I tried on the styles I had chosen. I unwrapped the last one from the plastic and looked at the size, to ensure they sent the right one, and tried it on.

My eyes lit up as if I had just won the lottery! The shoulder straps were comfortable. I fit “inside the cups” from every angle. The cups were shaped and didn’t allow show-through. Most importantly, it looked as though I had just had some sort of surgical procedure. My “girls” sat up nicely and created great cleavage. Oh, and the comfort was unsurpassed! I had finally fallen in love with my undergarments!!

My miracle bra, Victoria’s Secret: Body By Victoria’s Shaping Demi. Yes ladies, I said demi. You don’t have to fear that word anymore. You can get them on clearance for about $18.99 and full price, $36.00. It doesn’t matter what colors they have or what the cost is. Buy them, big-busted ladies! You will thank me! I’ve been in the fashion industry for years, and bras were the only area of my life I ever struggled with. Now, I have no fashion hang-ups…….and, I don’t even need to “hang up” or fling my bra across the room when I get home anymore. (I even sleep in them now……can you imagine? This coming from a serial flinger………..)
