Vena Cava for Aqua at Bloomingdale’s

Bloomingdale's, Vena Cava

For ardent shoppers of Vena Cava, your purses will now feel the relief this September with the introduction of Vena Cava’s new partnership with the Bloomingdale’s in-house line, Aqua. Vena Cava’s reasonably priced fall collection will make its debut on September 1 in select Bloomingdale’s and then will appear in all the other locations and online on September 6.

The creative geniuses behind Vena Cava, Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai, showcased their new fall collection at the Soho retail store earlier this month. Their 19-piece, limited collection is more affordable than items in the classic Vena Cava line or Viva Vena!, their latest t-shirt and organic cotton clothing line. Prices for Vena Cava’s fall collection for Aqua range from $98 to $198. More oriented towards junior type clothing, Vena Cava’s fall capsule with Bloomingdale’s Aqua still features some similarities to the original Vena Cava styles. Resemblances that are reflected in the new fall collaboration are the mesh, geometric print, lace, sheer backing, and velvet detail.

An example of the mesh style in Vena Cava’s new collection is the one-shouldered mesh layered dress, which comes in 3 different pairs of colors, blush with gray, black with navy, and olive with dark gray ($178). There is also a ruffled, silk chiffon dress that is patterned with Vena Cava’s classic geometric print ($158) and it comes in a mixture of sheer black with pink. A crushed velvet tank dress offered in silver or midnight blue pays tribute to Vena Cava’s vintage look ($158). A gray shirt with sheer backing and a tee with lace backing (the cheapest items in the new line priced at $98) are available, as well as various skirts and tanks with hardware detail on them ($108-$138). Cropped carrot pants ($138), faux fur vests ($188), silk dresses ($158), ruffle topped blouses ($128), fringed, tinsel miniskirts ($128), slate and olive green military jackets ($178), and tailored, black and navy blue ponte jackets (the most expensive items in the line priced at $198) are other clothing items offered in the new fall collection by Vena Cava for Aqua.

Vena Cava’s latest collection for Bloomingdales’s Aqua can be characterized as fun, feminine, and flirty. It is a collection that highlights the “greatest hits of Vena Cava,” while incorporating new themes such as the high-waist silhouette for bottoms, and some edgy and eclectic detail. It is a designer capsule collaboration that is not only affordable, but offers a great amount of availability since all the items can be purchased at Bloomingdale’s department stores and www.Bloomingdales.com starting this September. So Vena Cava fans, get ready to flaunt some pieces from one of fall’s best designers at not so designer prices!
