This style works best with a slim dress, or one that is informal and flirty.
Style #2. Handkerchief -This is a very long typically floor length style. It is a square shape that is folded to form four very elegant points on the veil. It is very heavy typically and provides a very classy look. This veil works well with gowns that are straight, simple. An example of this style dress is a sheath or column style.
Style #3. Waterfall – This is a sweeping veil that falls to approximately the buttocks. It has rippled edges and the starts at approximately shoulder height at the top, and finishes towards the buttocks. It is a very graceful veil, with a lot of movement. This is great with a strapless or slinky gown for a graceful appearance.
Style #4. Mantilla -Spanish style veil that is very flowy, it can be short or long. This has elaborate lace designs and is usually very elaborate looking. This style works very well with A-line dresses, sheaths, and ball gown style dresses. If you choose this type of veil, you will want to select a very simple style dress so your dress design and veil design do not clash.
Style #5. Blusher -Classic veil, this is the style that most little girls grow up dreaming about. This style has two veils, a shorter one in the front that is forward during the procession, and a longer style in the back. This style is the most versatile and can be worn with anything without worries.
Style #6. Cathedral -Dramatic impressions is abound in this veil. This drapes gracefully to the floor and extends across the floor a small bit behind the bride. This style is most usually associated with highly formal weddings in very big churches. This tends to be very heavy due to the amount of fabric that is involved in creating the gorgeous flow of fabric. This can be worn with almost any style dress, however looks best with a ball gown style dress.
Each bride has a very personal choice in which veil style they prefer. Most brides tend to select their dress first and then select a veil that will compliment their dress, however selecting the veil before the dress can also work depending upon the personal preferences of the bride. Make sure your veil fits properly and match’s your dress to give the impression and image that you are aiming for.
