Top Ten Romantic Songs for This Fall

Hagerstown Md, Joe Cocker, Romantic Songs, Steve Perry

Romance is alive and well- if you’re simply willing to look for it. I have heard many women tell me they want more romance in their lives, and feel their partner isn’t giving it to them. Believe me, there are some guys who also feel this way. It’s up to both sexes to pull it together and put some romance back into life.

One of the easiest ways to keep romance alive is to listen to romantic songs. These can always put you in the mood for romance, and the mood for being close to your loved one.

What are my top picks for the most romantic songs to listen to this fall? They are a compilation of the last few decades of music.

10. If You Could Only See, by Tonic. This song is a bit fast for a romance song, but to me, it really encapsulates the meaning of romance. You can tell if someone loves you by the way they look at you. If someone looks at you this way, you’re lucky in love. Looking into someone’s eyes is also very romantic.

9. Always and Forever, by Luther Vandross. This song was always a favorite of mine as a teenager. I thought it was so beautiful. It talks about loving someone forever, which is the quintessential of romance. Anyone who feels they will be loved forever, feels romantic inside!

8. My Heart Will Go On, by Celine Dion. I certainly couldn’t leave this one out of the mix. Although the song has been played to death in karaoke bars and the radio, the song still is romantic. Can you really picture a more romantic scene than the one in Titanic where Leonardo DiCapprio knows he is going to die and makes Kate Winslet promise him that she will go on. This song was written for the movie. This is about even in death, love survives. That, to me, is superbly romantic.

7. Angel Eyes (Never Let You Go) by Steelheart. Steelheart pretty much only had one big hit, like Tonic, but they had some other great ones that just didn’t make it to the charts. I personally knew every song on their original CD entitled Steelheart. Michael Matijevic, the lead singer, has one of the most incredible voices I have ever heard. As a singer, I have to say that this song is by far the hardest song to sing! The song crosses octaves, going from low to high. But back to the romantic stuff, this song has what it takes. It talks about never letting her love go. This woman is his heart and soul. Very romantic.

6.If I Ain’t Got You, by Alicia Keys. Why does this one get on the list of most romantic songs? It talks about for love, all you need is each other. You don’t need expensive gifts, or anything else, it’s just about two people being together. Another premise in which romance is built.

5. Far Away by Nickelback. In the video, we watch as a firefighter goes off to stop a forest fire, leaving his loved one behind. There are some incidents, and the woman is sure that he has been killed in the line of duty. However, he is returned safely to her at the end. This song talks about not being able to even breathe without the other person. If you’ve experienced true love, you know this is true. How romantic!

4. Faithfully, by Journey. Steve Perry’s voice alone is enough to make many of us ladies feel romantic. Then, add a heart-melting song like this one, and forget about it! I would love to have someone sing this tune to me. Steve Perry talks about being faithful to this woman forever. It also talks about romance on the road, which is truly inspiring to be able to keep something alive long distance.

3. Endless Love. Okay, lovebirds, here is your true song. Endless love is what we all strive for, to be as one together forever. This is what romance is all about. This song has been THE song about romance since the eighties with the movie that went along with it.

2. Maybe I’m Amazed, by Joe Cocker. This song was done by Paul McCartney, but I like the Joe Cocker version. Both are romantic. The song talks about being amazed by the other person, every single day. There is no end to the wonder of the other person. True love gets a point once again, and we have a great romantic song.

1.Amazed by Lonestar. I personally saw Lonestar perform this song at the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown, MD a few years back. It was incredible. This song makes me melt, and would even beat out Faithfully for a song I would like a guy to sing to me. “Every time our eyes meet, I can feel our hearts beat…” There are so many romantic, memorable phrases in this song, I don’t think it can be beat. Amazed is the number one romantic song of all.
