There were some complaints that there was no pool, fitness center and no restaurant at the actual hotel. The good reviews outweigh the bad ones by far.

The price tag for this hotel ranges for King Bed or two Double Beds $170.00 per night, bay view with balcony $205.00 a night, Pool view with balcony $195.00 a night. Prices go as high as $220.00 per night for some rooms.
Another fantastic place to stay is the Balboa Inn, located at 105 Main St, Newport (www.balboa inn.com) room rates are a little high on this location. $583.33 for an ocean view $365.67 for courtyard suite, $259.00 deluxe queen and a standard queen or king will run $202.33. There is a special rate for those who are already in their current database and have stayed previously at the Inn. There is also a special stay three nights between Sunday and Thursday and the third night is free or stay two nights on the weekend and the second night is half price. These both exclude holidays. One benefit for this Inn is the Siena Restaurant, fresh fish daily and magnificent Filet Mignon are the chef’s favorite dishes. Also choose an authentic Italian pasta or pizza dish made fresh and served right at the table. If you find yourselves staying here, try a nice romantic sunset dinner at the Siena.
There is also the choice of the Marriott-Newport Beach for your next visit to Balboa Island. This hotel is located at 500 Bayview Circle, Newport (949)854-4500. Each suite has its own private balcony for your evening or early morning relaxation. The entire hotel is smoke free for those who wish to smoke they will need to leave the grounds. Room rates are $269.00 for a 1 bedroom suite, $289.00 for 1 bedroom suite with bay view, $289.00 1 bedroom suite with 2 adults and children under 12 for free breakfast, $309.00 1 bedroom suite 2 adults and children under 12 for breakfast with a bay view. You must also allow $15.00 a day for parking if you are driving a car. Guest rooms have wired internet and wireless in public areas of the hotel. Each room comes equipped with two televisions, wet bar and mini refrigerator and coffee maker.

Balconies and patios are a plus and with every room. Nail services can also be purchased. There are separate male and female locker rooms for your convenience. Cost is $420.00 for a deluxe king, $465.00 for a premier King and $510.00 for a double premier. A bit on the high side for cost but if you are looking for a complete vacation with all the bells and whistles this is the place to go.
