Top Fast Food Restaurants in Katy, Texas

Bread Sticks, Fast Food Restaurants, Jack in the Box, quizno's

Katy, Texas is a growing suburb about twenty miles west of downtown Houston, and has been my home for the last three years. Fast food is one of the thriving industries here in Katy, as it is just about everywhere else, but you have to be careful when you choose where to eat. If you want to avoid stale ingredients, long lines, poor service and the possibility of food poisoning, here are the top fast food restaurants in Katy, Texas.

Top Fast Food Restaurants in Katy, Texas: Quizno’s
Mason Rd. at Highland Knolls

About a mile from I-10 on Mason, you’ll find one of the best places to get sandwich in all of Houston. I’ve eaten at many Quizno’s locations, but this one is by far the best because the staff gets to know the customers and will take special requests. They have the freshest bread and the tastiest ingredients of any Quizno’s I’ve ever tried and I never get tired of trying new sandwiches each time I go. Although the prices are a little high, it beats the Katy Subway hands-down.

Top Fast Food Restaurants in Katy, Texas: Jack-in-the-Box
Highway 99 (Grand Parkway) at Bay Hill Dr.

If you’re looking for something a little less healthy, you might want to try the Jack-in-the-Box off Grand Parkway. This restaurant is the best at getting large food orders to their customers quickly. I once witnessed a group of construction workers order 100 tacos, and the cashier didn’t even bat an eye. They had the tacos to the customers before I left the restaurant with my food order and I was duly impressed. They also have friendly employees, particularly those who work the early morning shift, and Jack-in-the-Box is a great place to go when you want breakfast sandwiches at three o’clock in the afternoon.

Top Fast Food Restaurants in Katy, Texas: Taco Bell
Mason Rd. at Kingsland

I’ve always had a soft spot for Taco Bell because you can eat tons of food on the cheap, but this restaurant is one of the best. For one thing, their tacos and burritos are ten cents cheaper than at other local Taco Bell locations, and for another, they just remodeled the entire restaurant to look more authentic. Their drive-thru window is much faster than you would expect given their volume of customers and they are always busier than the Burger King next door, which should tell you something.

Top Fast Food Restaurants in Katy, Texas: Fazoli’s
Fry Road at Kingsland

Although Fazoli’s isn’t necessarily what you would consider “traditional” fast food cuisine, they do have a drive-thru and you order like you would for fast food. Fazoli’s has pizza, pasta, salad and sandwiches for customers of all tastes and the best bread sticks in Texas. While you’re waiting in the drive-thru, they hand you a bread stuck to enjoy while they prepare your food, and they walk around and hand out free bread sticks to dine-in customers, as well. Their pizza is a little greasy, but I enjoy it all the same.

Top Fast Food Restaurants in Katy, Texas: Chik-Fil-A
Mason Rd. at Provincial

If you’re looking for a change from burgers and pizza, head to Chik-Fil-A. They have chicken fingers, chicken strips, chicken sandwiches and even chicken biscuits for breakfast lovers. The only drawback to this fast food restaurant is that they are closed on Sundays, but you can enjoy their food any other day of the week. Service is generally fast and you can have as many cups of honey mustard, barbeque, Ranch or blue cheese dressing that you desire.
