This list of new rap songs are in no particular order, they are just 7 new rap singles that would be great for any music library. Each new hip hop song on this list has a small amount of various information and facts about them.

This list is aimed at new hip hop music in early 2010 because new lists are made every couple months. Feel free to comment or give suggestions for future hip hop songs lists. New lists are made every few weeks so feedback or suggestions are more than welcomed even for other genres.

1. Rihanna – Rude Boy

Rude Boy is Rihanna’s 4th American single and is one of the top new hip hop songs in 2010. The song itself at this time has already probably peaked in popularity, although it is still getting major airplay everywhere. This new rap song is the perfect example of how a song explodes and gains commercial success. The music video is very fresh and stylish, Rihanna is quite fashion forward by wearing bold and sexy outfits. Rihanna first performed the single on the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam that was aired on VH1. The actual whole song wasn’t aired correctly because time restrictions for television promptly ended the song towards the end.

2. Ludacris – How Low

This new hip hop song in 2010 is the first single off of the “Battle of the Sexes” album. Ludacris’ newer single “How Low” has been classified as a stripper oriented track and that it has great production. Even though there are people out there that flat out don’t like the helium voice that is used through out the song. If you have already heard it then you know what I am talking about. This new rap song is just like any song from Ludacris if you have never heard it. Many people in the hip hop community argue that Ludacris ripped this song off of Trick Daddy. That is one the biggest ongoing debates about this new hip hop single dropped by Ludacris. Download each version and decide for yourself. There’s no link but it is not hard to find just go through some new hip hop music forums.

3. T.I. – I’m Back

On the same day that Lil Wayne announced that he was going to jail for his eighth month sentence, T.I. made announcements for his comeback tour and released his first single “I’m Back.” This song is great and is one of my personal favorite new hip hop songs for 2010. His sound since being in jail has come back harder and he calls out everyone that thought he was down and out. This new hip hop song by T.I. is the perfect anthem for him to keep his claim as King of the South. As of right now the album is still untitled but is rumored to be coming out for full release sometime in August.

4. Kid Cudi ft Snoop Dogg – I Do My Thing

This new hip hop song is off Kid Cudi’s sophomore album and features the Godfather Snoop Dogg. This song is very simple and goes through the pleasure of his life. It is basically a stoner track and will be liked by a certain audience and disliked by others. Kid Cudi is a very unique artist and he has a one of a kind sound that is growing more and more popular with hip hop music fans. The “I Do My Thing” track is off Kid Cudi’s sophomore album Cudder: The Revolution of Evolution.

5. Lil Wayne ft. Eminem – Drop the World

This is Lil Wayne’s next single off of the Rebirth album and is one of his latest releases before announcing he was finally going to serve his jail sentence. This is a great new rap song and a great collaboration with Eminem, this is the perfect last song before his 8 month break in jail. This will keep the fans at bay for at least a few months but knowing Lil Wayne he probably has tracks that he already recorded, that he will get released while in jail. Songs other than whats on the Rebirth album because there is still songs on there that will get major airplay as 2010 progresses.

6. Young Jeezy ft. Plies – Lose My Mind

“Lose My Mind” is the first single from Young Jeezy’s senior record Thug Motivation 103. The album as of now has no release date but one will be coming shortly. This song is kind of simple and won’t be liked by everyone. I don’t really like the collaboration because Young Jeezy is one artist that doesn’t need to collab with anyone to sound good. Leave feedback and tell me what you guys think about this new hip hop song in 2010.

7. Birdman ft Lil Wayne & Drake – Money to Blow

“Money to Blow” was released towards the end of 2009 but the buzz floated over well into 2010. Many of Drake’s newer song came out towards 2010 even though this particular tracks is Birdman’s song. Bedrock” was another smash single which had a big collaboration which had the biggest artist in the game on it, but this was another song that catapulted Drake. His mixtape ‘So Far Gone’ was the biggest mixtape of 2009, so expect very big things from Drake in 2010.
