1. Twista – “I Ain’t Wired Right”

Twista is the fattest rapper to ever get on the mic and has been in the game for quite some time, somehow always managing to make big comebacks. He has been representing Chicago for many years through his music and definitely shows love for his hometown of Chi Town. He has a sound only unique to him and he’s one of the few fast flowing rappers to have great commercial success. The new rap song called “I Ain’t Wired Right” is actually off one of Twista’s latest mix tapes called “Reloaded”. Twista collaborated with Don Cannon on the new “Reloaded” mix tape and the new track “I Ain’t Wired Right” is the first single and video off of the mix tape. The song also premiered on the new MTV hit show Washington Heights and gained a lot of exposure through that avenue.

2. The Game ft. Young Jeezy & Future- “I Remember”

The Game is one of the biggest rappers on the west coast and gives his music that Compton sound everyone loves. The song “I Remember” was the first single off The Game’s album “Jesus Piece.” The game has been busy the past couple years and has made a big comeback. He’s been in a few underground movies and hip hop movies, his own Vh1 reality T.V. show with his wife to be, and releasing the album “Jesus Piece.” Even though The Game has run into his fair share of legal troubles and has ended up on covers of hip hop magazines in a few fights here and there, but that’s what it’s like to be a true gangster rapper he says. “Jesus Piece” the album was named the 45th best album of 2012. The album stirred up a small amount of controversy with the album artwork and a few of the tracks.

3. T.I. ft. Kendrick Lamar, B.o.B, Kris Stephens – “Memories Back Then”

The track was debuted on Sway’s morning show a while ago but now the good HQ version is out and it is looking to be one of T.I.’s best songs of 2013. It is such a smooth song with a great chorus along with some of the hottest rappers in the game at the moment. Kendrick Lamar and B.o.B have big followings as well as T.I. and this is a perfect merging of artists to get maximum exposure. The song actually didn’t even make it on T.I.’s album “Troubled Man: Heavy is the Head.” I really honestly love this song because it’s so smooth and the perfect track to listen to when you just creeping around town cruising.

4. Wiz Khalifa ft 2 Chainz – “It’s Nothin”

Wiz Khalifa is one of the best new rappers out there and he brings a fresh hipster vibe to the hip hop industry. While this new song was on Wiz Khalifa’s album O.N.I.F.C which was released in 2012, the new track “It’s Nothin” is catching it’s popularity mostly in 2013. Wiz Khalifa definitely knows how to stay relevant by adding all sorts of new hot hip hop artists to his songs giving a new spin to his unique flow. 2 Chainz is for sure one of the hottest new hip hop artist to come out in the last 5 years, he’s gaining major popularity in 2012 and 2013.

5. 2 Chainz – “I’m Different”

2 Chainz is one of the most unique and hottest rappers ever and is dominating the hip hop scene in 2012 and 2013. “I’m Different” is another single off the Grammy nominated debut studio album called “Based on a T.R.U. Story.” 2 Chainz is one the frontrunners of a new hipster type era in hip hop, where the envelope is being pushed on many levels and artists are becoming more and more creative with their music. “I’m Different” is one of the best new rap songs for 2013 and is the catapult to start off the year 2013. It is also the fourth popular single off the debut studio album from 2 Chainz.

6. Curren$y ft Wiz Khalifa & Rick Ross – “Choosin”

This is a hot new hip hop song in 2013 and is one of my favorites for sure. Almost anything with Wiz Khalifa on it has a great chance of being a killer new track. This is off of the New Jet City mix tape from Spitta and produced by Lex Luger. With his dirty south roots from New Orleans, he meshes well with one of his main dudes Wiz Khalifa along with Rick Ross. This is for sure a great rap song of 2013.

7. Drake – “Started From the Bottom”

This has been a greatly anticipated album and especially when Drake announced the release of his third album during Grammy night. The song itself is different from what you usually hear from Drake. It’s basically a consistent beat with him spitting over the top of it, rather than it being just another singing rap song which he is good at though. Drake says the song represents his modest beginning and where he has gone in such a short time. He made a statement basically saying that a lot of people misinterpret his beginnings so he wants to set the record straight with fans and critics alike. The point of the song is that it took a lot of hard work and sacrifice to be where he is now in his career.

8. Maino ft The Mafia – “This is My City”

This is a great rap song for 2013 because its got a great mixture of different things throughout the song. This is a cool song that a lot of people could listen to and like it because its not real gritty but leans more toward being radio friendly. You for sure want to add this to your music library because it’s a hot song that people can bump in any city and feel they apart of it, that’s what good music is all about. Maino and the Mafia are keeping New York City hip hop on the map and keeping it to the streets with authentic gangsta rap rather than commercial rap. This dope new track has a very smooth vocal sample along with some killer drum beats, this gives the song a great pulse and the transitions are great. Maino and The Mafia really wanted to give love to the streets they were raised on. Whether you live in New York City or in North Dakota, this song pounds and is one of my favorite rap songs of 2013.

9. Tyga ft. Wiz Khalifa – “Molly”

Such a great track for 2013 from Tyga and Wiz. You know a song is going to be a smash hit when tons of people are remixing the song already. On the message boards everyone was asking who Molly was, but its not a person but a purer form of the love drug. This song flows great and is getting tons of feedback from fans. This is off of Tyga’s “Hotel California” album and is sure to be one of the top rap songs of 2013 and one of the best singles off his album. Molly is a drug that’s become very popular the past few years in the rap industry and it was a matter of time before someone made a song about it. This is sure to be a club banger and will get major airplay on the radio.

10. YG ft. Young Jeezy & Wiz Khalifa – “Playin”

Such a smooth and great track that just flows along perfectly. I think this song should be getting a lot more exposure than it’s getting but that’s how the rap industry is. Sometimes the best songs go slightly unnoticed since new songs are released everyday and the competition among rappers is crazy. This is on a the mix tape from YG called “Just Re’d Up 2,” so most good mix tape songs stay under the radar and that’s how it suppose to be most of the time. YG is a young artist and has been on a definite rise to the top the past couple years. He is a young Compton artist that has created a big buzz in the mix tape world. Many rap fans wouldn’t even realize that a lot of YG’s beats are in very popular songs such as 2Chainz – “I’m Different” and Young Jeezy – “R.I.P.”
