Top 5 Sunflower Themed Bridesmaid Gifts

Bridesmaid Gifts, Facial Scrubs, Hair Clips, Sun Catcher, Sunflower Oil

Are you planning a sunflower themed wedding? As a former special events planner, I may be able to help. I have helped plan sunflower themed parties before and have a few bridesmaid gift suggestions that I’d like to share with you. Some of the sunflower gift items are also suitable for use as wedding favors. Here they are:

Benko Glass Sunflower Bowls

The Benko Glass Company makes the most charming sunflower bowls I have ever run across. The sunflower bowls are 3 inches tall and 7 inches wide. They tend to sell for $22 each through select glass factories and specialty shops. You could opt to present the sunflower bowls empty or fill them with chocolate covered sunflower seeds. A one pound bag of chocolate covered sunflower seeds typically sells for $7 through specialty candy stores. Sunflower paper bags to put the items in will generally cost you $56 for a pack of 125 bags.

Sunflower Stained Glass Sun Catcher

Stained glass sunflower sun catchers would also make an excellent wedding favor or bridesmaid gift. You may opt to make your own or purchase them from select glass factories or specialty shops. Based on my experience, ready-made, 6 inch wide sunflower sun catchers tend to sell for $10 each.

Sunflower Hair Supplies

Another option is to purchase a sunflower gift bag and fill it with bottles of sunflower pomegranate shampoo and conditioner. A set of sunflower pomegranate hair products is typically available through bath and body shops for $13. You might also want to throw in a sunflower hair clip or two. You could opt to purchase a ready-made sunflower hair clip or make you own. I’d suggest that you consider making your own.

In order to make your own sunflower hair clips, you’ll need to purchase a package of blank hair clips and silk sunflowers from a craft store. You can also generally find the blank hair clips for sale at beauty supply stores and jewelry making supply shops for less than $4 a dozen. Depending on the retailer and the size of the silk sunflowers desired, you may expect to pay roughly $24 per dozen flowers.

Sunflower Hand Lotion, Facial Scrubs and Soaps

Hand lotions, facial scrubs and soaps are also worthy of consideration. You may opt to purchase ready-made sunflower beauty products or make your own. I’d suggest that you go with the ready-made products. You can usually purchase sunflower infused hand lotions, facial scrubs and soaps through bath and body stores for $5 to $15 each depending on the product’s size and brand.

When it comes to packaging the items, you may want to consider skipping the sunflower gift bag and wrapping the items up in a beautiful piece of sunflower clad fabric. You could tie the top of the fabric with raffia and top it off with a silk sunflower in place of a bow. A yard of sunflower fabric from most craft stores will lighten your wallet by a modest $6.

Sunflower Oil

In my experience, sunflower oil also makes a wonderful wedding favor or bridesmaid gift. I’d recommend buying the sunflower oil in bulk and then dividing it up into decorative glass bottles that have been adorned with hand painted sunflowers. You might also want to stick a few sprigs of fresh herbs into the bottles as well to add a little color.

I would suggest that you consider buying the glass bottles through a specialty bottle shop instead of a craft store. I have found that option to be the least expensive. In some instances, you get away with paying less than $1 a bottle through the specialty shops as opposed to $2 a bottle at a craft store. In addition, bottle specialty shops tend to have more design options than most craft stores.
