Top 5 Free Online Calorie Counters

If you are watching your calories, you can keep track of your daily calorie intake by using a free online calorie counter. There are many free online calorie counters to choose from. Here are a few that are easy to use and have a wide variety of food choices in their calorie chart:

SparkPeople Calorie Counter: SparkPeople is not only a good place to track your calories, it’s also a wonderful community where you will find lots of help and inspiration. You can set up a nutrition plan, a fitness plan and
so much more. And you will meet many wonderful people who are just like you! You need to register to belong to
SparkPeople but the registration is quick, easy and free. Then once you are a member, you will see all their free weight loss tools and their support systems.

iGoogle Calorie Counter: If you use Google as your homepage, you and quickly and easily add the calorie counter to your homepage. Then anytime you eat something, simply look it up and click on it. Google will automatically update your daily calorie intake for you!

ACalorieCounter Calorie Counter: This is one of the easiest sites to use and you do not have to register to use it. Just go to the site, type in the food you want to track, and you will get a list of options to choose from. After you choose your particular food, you can choose the serving size (there are many serving size options) and it will calculate not only your total calories, but your complete nutritional intake such at total fats, sodium, cholesterol, and more! This site uses the USDA food nutrition database as its source. You will want to make this site one of your favorites.

TheDailyPlate Calorie Counter: The Daily Plate is a community that offers more than just a calorie counter. You will find a lot of helpful information on that site to help you lose weight, maintain weight loss or just to try and eat healthier. The community is friendly and you will meet nice people there. You do have to register but registration is free and it only takes a minute to sign up.

CalorieCount.about Calorie Counter: This is another nice site where you don’t have to register to use the calorie counter. You simply search for your food and it will tell you the calorie count plus other nutritional facts. You can change the serving size but it’s hard to see here. Just look at the nutritional facts box and look at the top of the box. You will see the little arrow. Click on the arrow and a drop down box will appear with various serving sizes.
