Top 20 Lil Wayne Songs

Lil Wayne, Tha Carter Iii, Twista, Young Jeezy

Lil Wayne has become a rap icon over the past decade by releasing numerous popular records and mix tapes. Due to readers’ comments and my personal discretion, we have decided to expand and update our top 10 list of Lil Wayne songs with this top 20 list. Enjoy.

*This list is in no particular order

1. Tha Mobb– Tha Mobb on Tha Carter II is easily one of the best songs on the album; it starts out hard and easily pumps up the listener with catchy and fierce lyrics.

2. Money On My Mind- This song is a Lil Wayne classic; it flows well and is a great workout song.

3. Fireman– Fireman made our list due to ability to withstand the test of time. Fireman is still a popular song despite it being released on Tha Carter II many years ago.

4. Best Rapper Alive– YES

5. Hit Em Up– If you’re looking for a great pump up song than check out Hit Em Up. This song is catchy, hard, and lyrically vicious.

6. Hustler Musik– Hustler Musik was a reader requested song that I agreed should make our top 20 list of Lil Wayne songs. This song is a classic that empowers everything that Lil Wayne fans look for.

7. Got Money- Besides Lollipop, Got Money is arguably one of the most popular songs on Tha Carter III. This song is best for getting pumped up and chilling with friends.

8. I’m Goin In– This song was released on Drake’s CD, So Far Gone. However, Lil Wayne is the primary rapper, while Drake and Young Jeezy appear to act more like guest rappers. This song is excellent for pre-gaming, hanging out, and working out.

9. Wasted- Wasted, found on the No Ceilings album, is a remix of the popular Gucci Mane song of the same name. The song starts hard and finishes hard.

10. Swag Surf– This song may not be as popular as the other songs on this list, but it is a killer pump up song.

11. Wayne On Me– Wayne On Me is a remix of the song Wetter by rapper Twista. Wayne On Me is a sexually charged song, which is actually better than the sexually charged original.

12. Ask Me– Ask Me can be found on the Official White Label album and features Kanye West as a guest rapper.

13. Women Lie, Men Lie– This song was originally released by Yo Gotti, but features Lil Wayne as a guest rapper. When Lil Wayne guest raps, his presence is known throughout the entire song. This song got some heat on my last article for being featured, but since the songs has gained popularity since its release I feel that it deserves a spot on this list as well.

14. This is the Carter– This is the Carter is a classic Lil Wayne song. “This is the Carter so hold on to your teenage daughter….” I think you get the gist. The lyrics are catchy and great for this early Lil Wayne song.

15. A Mili– A Mili is a love or hate song that will either be one of your favorite Lil Wayne songs or despised every time you hear it. The song can be found on Tha Carter III and has to be judged individually because it is a very different song.

16. Pop Bottles– Pop Bottles is a Lil Wayne and Birdman song that defined Lil Wayne’s early career. The lyrics are inappropriate, hardcore, and catchy, which makes them great for partying or pre-gaming.

17. I’m So Paid– This song is found on Akon’s CD Freedom and features Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy as guest rappers. Arguably, the guest rappers make this R&B; song have some bite to it, which made it the hit it is today.

18. Oh No– For some reason I feel that Tha Carter II and III have some of the best Lil Wayne Songs available. Oh No is another classic from Tha Carter II that is a great driving song due to the fierce lyrics and bass.

19. Drop the World– Most Lil Wayne fans will agree that the album Rebirth was not a good direction for the iconic rapper. However, Drop the World is a great song that pumps you up the entire song, especially when Eminem guest raps.

20. You Ain’t Got Nuthin– This song has been one of my Lil Wayne favorites since its release on the Tha Carter III. I preordered Tha Carter III back in 2008 and listened to this song the most, it features fabulous, who is another one of my favorite rappers. Overall, this song is a great pump up summer song that features some crazy lyrics.
