Here is something a little more challenging, trying to find the top ten most unique gifts for this holiday season. As we all know, the holiday seasons are coming up and if we want to get all of our holiday shopping done on time, we should always start in advance so that we can make sure to check our list twice. These are not only good for the holiday season but they are also good for birthdays or special occasions.
So, here is the count down to the top ten unique gifts for the holiday season and why they are such great gifts to give your loved ones, friends, the not so loved ones, and anyone else on your list.
10. Wii by Nintendo is a great gift to give and it is one that the entire family will enjoy. I told my husband that I was going to get this for our oldest son and he laughed because he knew that it was really a gift for me. I have never played with one but the commercials are driving me crazy with all of their neat games that they keep showing. The Wii is kind of like a virtual game that you actually play and the character does whatever you do, in a way.
09. A digital camera and these can be bought at electronic stores. The price of digital cameras range but you can still get one for under $100. I told my husband that I wanted a digital camera for Christmas and he said, why if you are already getting yourself a Wii. I want a digital camera so that I can put the pictures right on my computer so I can share them with the rest of the world. A digital camera is something that everyone can enjoy for years to come. There are a lot of times that people wish that they had a camera or that they wouldn’t have ran out of film and with a digital camera, it makes this easier because they hold a lot of pictures.
08. Foreign language video of their choice. Nearly everyone wishes that they could speak another language and a foreign language video is something to get them started on learning another language. I want to learn Spanish and I am probably the only Mexican that does not speak this language and I know that I would be thrilled if someone bought me one of these.
07. Episodes of their favorite shows. This is a cool one to get someone. I never got into watching CSI until their second season and then I was upset because I never got the chance to watch the first season. My husband went and bought me the Episode One of CSI so that I could catch up with the other shows. I am also a fan of Elvis Presley and my dad bought me a Special Edition of The King box series of Elvis Presley. This is a neat gift to get if you know someone who loves a certain character, you can buy them multiple movies that has that certain character in it.
06. If you know someone who is always at the computer, you can buy them a computer chair or computer accessories. There are a lot of stores that carry items that will make you more comfortable when you are at a computer and anybody who has to sit at a computer for hours will defiantly thank you for this. The coolest accessory that I had seen was an arm rest so that you could relax your arm on it instead of the hard desk. This is just something to keep in mind. If you want to be a little bit more loving, you can buy them a mouse pad or pad that fits under the computer that has a picture of their family on it. This is a nice gift to give and one that they will enjoy seeing.
05. If you have a do-it-yourself person, you can get them a gift certificate to Lowe’s. They will love this and it will allow them to finish a project that they have been working on. We usually get my father-in-law a gift certificate to Lowe’s because he is always building things and this was a great way to show him that we support his projects even though they may not work all the time.
04. A vacation package. Okay, lets be for real here. You probably cannot afford to give someone else a vacation package and especially if you have not been on a vacation in a while. The ideal thing to do is to create a fake vacation package that allows them to take a break from cleaning, gardening, mowing, or whatever else that you can come up with. If you make one of these, you should be creative. The more creative you are, the more unique that it will be.
03. A scrap book of memories. Make sure if you do this that you take the photos and get copies of them. I am sure that no one will really appreciate you chopping up their actual photos. I made a scrap book of my dad’s child hood and I thought that he was never going to stop thanking me. This can be one of the most precious gifts that you can give someone.
02. A box full of stuff that they like. You will be surprised at what you can find at thrift stores, yard sales, or at the dollar store. I made a basket of goodies for my mother that was full of sewing supplies because she loves to sow. I also made a gift box full of art supplies for my sister, who loves to do arts and crafts.
01. A box full of rocks. Okay, you are not really going to give them a box full of rocks but you can do what my dad did. My dad filled up a large box full of rocks that were double rapped in colored paper. He told me mom that he got her a box full of rocks. She didn’t believe him so she kept unwrapping all of the rocks, she then discovered that there was a pair of diamond earrings inside of one of the papers. You can do this little trick with anything like a watch or necklace and it is a cute gift to play on someone special,
