My mother is an Avon Representative and she is always on the go with her arsenal of supplies. Here I will list some things she already has and finds very helpful and some things I think she should have. Many of these are practical gifts but if they help her make money, they are sure to please!
Personalized Labels or Personalized Stamp
There is a space on the back of every catalogue for the representative’s name and phone number and/or address. It can get be a very tiring and lengthy process to fill this space in by hand every time, so many representatives use labels. Order her a set of labels with her name and phone number so that she can make this process quick and easy. You can even order her an adorable set of labels with a cartoon version of her head at Family Labels.
A stamp would serve the same purpose as the labels. Some would rather use stamp because it can be quicker and more cost effective. Labels can be made much more personal.
Messenger Bag
Buy her a cute messenger-style bag to keep all her Avon goodies in! Messenger bags are a perfect travel size for all of her paperwork and catalogues. One with spaces for pens and pencils are perfect because she will need writing utensils in a convenient place.
Pen Set
You can also get her a very nice pen set. Get her a fancy one in a case. One that writes smooth and has plenty of refills will be a plus! You can even go the extra mile and get it engraved with her name on it!
Money Zip Bag
Get her a nice bag to put cash and coins in to make change for her customers. One with a divider may be more appealing so that she can separate bills from checks or large bills from small bills.
Small Tackle Box
A flat tackle box with customizable dividers is perfect for holding those perfume and make up samples. Just make sure that the dividers pop in and out so that she can make the right sized compartments for all of her samples. Also make sure it is not too cumbersome to fit in her bag!
Car Magnet
You can also order her a personalized car magnet to go on her vehicle! Make sure it at least says “Avon Rep” and her phone number. She can easily transform her personal vehicle into a professional one in just a second! You may also want to buy her two so that the information will be more visible on both sides. Just call your local printing shop to see if they provide these.
Plastic Storage or Shelves
If your Avon representative complains about all the materials for her job laced through out her home, help her get organized! Those plastic storage units with the clear drawers do not take up too much space and have plenty of room for all of her things. A great gift from a husband to his Avon Rep wife would be building her shelves on the wall of a spare room to place extra merchandise, client orders, or catalogues.
Post-its
My mother uses Post-its to mark her client’s orders in the catalogue. She can visit with her clients and not use all her time there writing their order down. The plastic tabs are perfect for this job. These can make a perfect stocking stuffer for the Avon rep.
Business Cards
You can get her some nice business cards printed to hand out quickly to prospective clients. Make sure they are eye catching and have all her pertinent information. If you don’t think she would mind, you can even get a picture of her to put on the cards.
Courtesy Pens
Just as pens disappear from grocery stores and gas stations, your Avon Rep will find that hers disappear too. So why buy her a package or two of inexpensive pens? She can either give them away to her customers or just let them go when they forget to give them back. You can also go the extra mile here by ordering a set of personalized pens with her name, title, and number on them. Don’t forget other personalized products like magnets and book marks!
All of these gifts are practical and will be appreciated by any Avon Rep. I must also share with you what NOT to give an Avon Rep: don’t get her anything from Avon! She already gets a discount and if she likes a product she probably already has it. Have a happy holiday season!
