Whether you are a lover of nature or a lover the city, you will find something to occupy you in this state. However, you may be unfamiliar with the state and are unsure how to plan for your vacation. This article contains some helpful advice for people who are planning on vacationing in Washington.

When planning a vacation to Washington you should first decide what places you would like to see while you are there. This will help you decide where you should stay. The state of Washington is by no means small and you probably do not want to spend your vacation driving back and forth to your hotel across the state. If you have a good idea of what you would like to see, try to pinpoint these places on a map. From there you can book rooms somewhere that put you close to these locations. Don’t be afraid to book rooms in different locations for different days of your trip. The point is to be close to your hotel when the day is done.

A lot of your planning and packing for a vacation in Washington will depend on what time of year you expect to be there. If you plan on visiting during the winter, you should pack some warm clothes and be prepared for the possibility of snow. You should think about packing a few light items as well, because temperatures in Washington during the winter can be unpredictable.

The type of transportation you will want depends on whether you are staying in the city, the country or both. On the other hand if you plan on staying exclusively in Seattle then you can use their public transportation; it is usually quite reliable.
