Are your children fans of the ThunderCats? Do they walk around imitating their favorite ThunderCats character? If so, you may want to contemplate planning a ThunderCats themed birthday party for them this year. In my experience, the only difficult part about throwing such a party is that there are few ThunderCats themed party supplies available on the market today. Nonetheless, you can make the party happen by using a bit of ingenuity. With that said, I happen to have a handful of party favor ideas that may help to get your creative thoughts flowing. Here they are:
ThunderCats Cupcake Rings
ThunderCats Cupcake Rings would make suitable party favors. You can still purchase them through select party supply retailers. The rings are red and feature full-color graphics of the individual characters. In most instances, a dozen of the rings will cost you less than $3.
Lion’s Head Lollipops
To my knowledge, there are no ThunderCats candy molds available on the market today. However, there are plenty of Lion’s Head shaped candy molds that will suffice in a pinch. One retailer that carries such molds is Country Kitchen Sweetart. The molds tend to sell for $2 each.
Lion’s Head Sugar Cookies
Lion’s head shaped sugar cookies would also make super ThunderCats party favors. In order to make the treats, you’ll need a lion’s head shaped cookie cutter. The best one that I know of is available through the Cheap Cookie Cutters’ website. I like the company’s cookie cutter the best because it closely resembles the feline symbol that is found on the ThunderCats Cupcake Rings. The only downside is that the cookie cutter typically sells for $8. It is made of metal and may also be used to make ThunderCats canapés should you be so inclined.
ThunderCats Masks
If you want to invest in a party favor that can double as a party activity, you may want to consider giving your guests the supplies needed to make ThunderCats masks. Based on my experience, the masks may be made out of foam sheets and butcher’s twine. You can generally purchase the foam sheets through craft supply stores for a modest fee. The craft stores may also carry rolls of the butcher’s twine. If not, you can typically purchase butcher’s twine through restaurant supply shops for less than $2 a roll.
Cat MakeUp Kits
Last but not least, you may want to think about giving the children their own mini makeup kits. That way, they can use the kits to transform themselves into ThunderCats. You can usually purchase cat character makeup kits through theatrical supply shops. Prices for the kits vary greatly. Therefore, you’ll want to spend some time shopping around. Oftentimes the best character makeup kits may be purchased directly through Mehron or Ben Nye. They are my two favorite stage makeup supply retailers.
