Fat Buddies Ribs and BBQ in Franklin is the best BBQ in the world. The food can’t be beat, plus the atmosphere of the restaurant is so laid back. Even though the restaurant is 30 miles away from our home, I and boyfriend have to eat at the restaurant at least once a month. We always start our meal with the Starting Line Sampler which comes with chicken tenders that you can get with mild, hot, or nuclear sauce or you can also get them naked, the sampler also comes with onion loaf, which is a big pile of thinly sliced onions that are deep fried, and deep fried mushrooms. The sampler comes with a spicy ranch dressing that is out of this world. Sometimes I think the appetizers are just an excuse to get to eat the spicy ranch dressing. After the appetizers, my boyfriend gets their ribs and let me tell you, these ribs are the best I’ve ever had. I choose to go with the sliced beef, which is wood smoked. The entrees come with two sides, plus garlic bread. I usually choose the baked beans and fries. The baked beans are so good; they have little pieces of meat in them, giving them a smoky flavor. They also offer several desserts, if you can hold them after all that food. Of course you must enjoy your meal with sweet tea and Fat Buddies does a great job at making Southern-style sweet tea. For those of you who aren’t from the South, Southern-style sweet tea has lots of sugar in it and it’s delicious. The restaurant is decorated with NASCAR memorabilia and pig figurines. The walls are wood paneling, the lights are kept low, and the music is always great. So if you want to relax and have a great meal, you must go to Fat Buddies in Franklin. There are also Fat Buddies locations in Waynesville and Asheville, North Carolina. If you are interested in visiting Fat Buddies Ribs and BBQ in Franklin, you’ll be happy to know that two people can have appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desserts for under $40. If you’re looking for a more upscale restaurant in Franklin, The Boiler Room Steakhouse can’t be beat. They offer not only delicious steaks, but wonderful soups, salads, crab cakes, shrimp, and so much more. Some of the prices are a bit extreme, but they also have cheaper steak entrée’s that are only $12.95. They have mouthwatering dishes such as BBQ Ribeye with Onion Strings, Ribeye with Crab Cakes, and The Boiler Room Bleu Cheese Filet. If you aren’t in the mood for steak the restaurant offers dishes such as Shrimp Scampi, Fettuccini Alfredo, and Sautéed Salmon. Then there are the desserts, some of the best include Peanut Butter Pie, Cream Cheese Brownie a la Mode, and Key Lime Pie. If you want to have a romantic dinner while you’re on vacation, but have you children with you, The Boiler Room Steakhouse is the best restaurant for you. You can drop your children off at the Fun Factory, which is part of a large complex that also contains The Boiler Room Steakhouse. Your children will be able to eat at the Pizza Factory or Snack Shack while you and your partner enjoy a nice, romantic dinner, alone in the restaurant.

Also located in the Fun Factory in Franklin is The Boiler Room Café. Here you’ll be able to grab a quick bite to eat or a nice cup of coffee. The Boiler Café in Franklin has several options ranging from pressed sandwiches to hamburgers to hot dogs to salads. If you want something to drink you’ll be able to choose from smoothies, lattes, espressos, teas, frappacinos, and so much more. Again this is a great restaurant to relax in while your children have a great time playing the games in the Fun Factory.
