The In-N-Out Burger Secret Menu You Haven’t Discovered Yet

In-n-out Burger, Lettuce, Root Beer Float

The In-N-Out ordering fiasco might seem like nothing out of the ordinary if you’re a regular visitor; the classic American burger and more are all ready for ordering at this fast food classic. Since 1948, the drive-thru hamburger stand has served up millions of double burgers, cheeseburgers, and ice cream shakes-and yes, you can have fries with that.

Don’t let the simplicity and convenience fool you; the In-N-Out regulars know about a ‘Secret Menu’, backed by the corporation itself. The menu can be accessed on the company website, and actually started out as an urban myth. In reality, it’s just a way to order your custom-made burger with some unique combinations:

· Double Meat: two beef patties, lettuce, tomato, and onions on a baked bun

· 3 X 3: three beef patties, lettuce, tomato, American cheese, and onions on a baked bun

· 4 X 4: four (yes, four) beef patties, lettuce, tomato, American cheese, and onions on a baked bun

· Grilled Cheese: American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions on a baked bun

· Protein Style: where Atikins-lovers rejoice, any burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun

· Animal style: a mustard-booked beef patty, pickle, extra sread, lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions

Ordering from the secret menu doesn’t require a password; just order with the code name for each and you’ll be on your way to burger haven.

But that’s not all. Try out any of the following tips and creations if you’re a die-hard In-N-Out fan:

  • 1X0: this is your standard burger without cheese
  • 2X0: this is your double stack without cheese
  • Wish Burger: it’s a veggie burger! No cheese
  • Chopped Chilis: they’ll throw in some pickled peppers to the bottom of the sandwich
  • Lite Fries: fries cooked to be less crispy than usual
  • Cheese fries: they’ll add a couple of melted cheese slices to the mix
  • Animal fries: to complement that animal burger, continue the condiment extravaganza with grilled onions, melted cheese and a spread
  • Well-done fries: extra crispy fries (might take a little longer than usual)
  • Neopolitan shake: a mixture of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavors
  • Root beer float: half a vanilla shake mixed with a serving of root beer
