You can sign up at www.disneymovieclub.com. It’s free to sign up, there is no membership fee. For your introductory offer, you can pick 3 movies for $1.99 each. You can get a 4th movie for $14.95, and a 5th movie for $9.95. Right now, they are offering free shipping and processing on your purchase! What is the catch? You must purchase 5 movies at regular club prices in the next 24 months (not including the 3 movies for $1.99 and the 5th bonus movie for $9.95), $19.95 and up; plus, there is a charge of $3.95 shipping and handling on the first movie you choose, and $1.00 shipping and handling for each additional title you choose in the same order. After you’ve reached your purchase commitment, you may cancel at any time. But why cancel on such a great deal? As a Disney fan, buying 5 movies within 2 years is easy! And if you purchase your 4th bonus movie, it counts as 1 title towards your purchase commitment, only 4 more to go! And if you’re worried about paying the shipping and handling–with gas prices so high, it’s about the same as paying for gas in your car to go to the store to buy a Disney movie. Plus, the movies are delivered within 2-4 weeks, instead of the traditional waiting period of 6-8 weeks. It’s exciting to receive your movies at your door; it’s like opening a present!
Don’t know which movies to choose? There are hundreds of movies to choose from, old and new. The movies I chose included “The Fox and The Hound” newly released on DVD, “James and The Giant Peach”, “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”, and “Disney Princess Stories Volume 2: Tales of Friendship. Joining the Disney Movie Club allows you to receive special offers through the mail. Every month, they will send you a brochure of movies at sale prices, plus offer you the new “Featured Title”. If you do not want the “Featured Title”, all you need to do is log on to www.disneymovieclub.com and cancel. (If you do not cancel within 10 days, it will be automatically shipped to you.) You can also cancel by calling the telephone number on the “Featured Title” card, or simply by mailing in the card with the correct box checked. That’s 3 easy ways to cancel and no worry about being sent a movie you don’t want. The only downside I found here is you must purchase one movie at regular price, and you get the sale price for additional movies you purchase. But only your first movie will count toward your purchase commitment; discounted movies do not. Included in the brochure are new releases, such as “Cinderella 3: A Twist in Time”, “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest”, and Disney/Pixar’s “Cars”; animated favorites, such as “The Fox and The Hound 2”, “Chicken Little”, and “The Little Mermaid”; Winnie the Pooh favorites, such as “Pooh’s Heffalump Movie” and “Piglet’s Big Movie”; adventurous movies, such as “National Treasure” and “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe”; and many more!
After you’ve chosen your movies, you’ll be asked for your information: name, shipping and billing addresses, E-mail address, and credit card information. You’ll also be asked to create your account online–this is free and allows you to browse and order movies online, and cancel your “Featured Title. No worries, the Disney’s Movie Club site is secure! Your credit card will only be billed when your movies ship. And once your movies arrive, if you are not completely satisfied, you may return all titles within 10 days and be fully refunded. Beware: if you do not fulfill your purchase commitment within 2 years, your credit card will be charged the full price of the introductory offer you received! But you’re a Disney fan, and 5 movies in 2 years is easy!
My favorite reason for joining the Disney Movie Club is that they have tons of age-specific movies. I have a 2 year old who loves Winnie the Pooh and the Disney Princesses. I’m able to browse movies suited for her age. I’m also able to browse movies for myself! It’s a great way to shop, and Disney movies make great gifts! Plus, when you sign up, you’ll receive a survey card to pick the categories you’re interested in and to receive offers about. Pick movies for yourself, your family, your friends, anybody!
Belonging to the Disney Movie Club will make you feel like a kid again. You’ll want to share the feeling with everyone you know. And that is why I’m sharing it with you. I’m a true Disney fan; I love Disney movies because they are original and they are classics. For me, buying 5 movies in 2 years is nothing. The Disney Movie Club makes it easy for me to choose from new releases, my favorite movies, and movies for my 2 year old. Signing up is easy. And receiving your first shipment is exciting!
