The Cast of Warehouse 13

Charlies Angels

Warehouse 13 was a huge hit in the 2009 season, for the Syfy channel. Warehouse 13 kicks off its second season July 6, 2010 on Syfy. The show is a well done mixture of The X-Files and NCIS. The show has Secret Service Agents assigned to a secret warehouse in South Dakota. The show has weird artifacts that are one of a kind. The artifacts are priceless, thus villains are always involved. Paranormal activity is also thrown into the mix. The show has many different characters, and always has an intriguing plot, meshed around the mandatory love interests, that today’s shows always have. Here is a brief synopsis of the characters, and where they have been previously.

Eddie McClintock plays Secret Service Agent Pete Lattimer. He is teamed with a female agent, and is on the force to investigate the goings on at Warehouse 13. Lattimer is easy going, and flies by the seat of his pants. McClintock was born on May 27, 1967. He has a good background for Warehouse 13. He is a veteran of sitcoms, having been a regular on Stark Raving Mad and Crumbs. McClintock has also appeared on Sex and the City, Bones, Friends, and Desperate Housewives. McClintock has a few films to his credit as well. I particularly enjoyed his work in Confessions of an American Bride. Warehouse 13 has many female viewers, surprising for a science fiction series. Many women tune in to just see Pete Lattimer. I expect his popularity to grow even more this season.

The Canadian born Joanne Kelly plays opposite Pete, as Secret Service Agent Myka Bering. Myka is the opposite of Lattimer, doing everything by the book. The 32 year old Canadian adds experience to the Syfy cast. Joanne has played in science fiction genre shows before. She has been in the science fiction series, The Dresden Files. She was a vampire on that series. Joanne has done much of her work in Canada. Kelly can presently be seen on the Canadian series, The Republic of Doyle. Doyle has won many fans on her first year on Warehouse 13, and I would suspect her character will grow, as the show moves forward. Syfy stars McClintock and Kelly have developed a relationship on the series, similar to ones by the characters in Bones, and The X-Files.

Saul Rubinek is the Secret Service Agent, who is the boss of the warehouse. His past is shady, but he seems to be doing good now. Season 1 of Warehouse 13, left Artie in a fire. Is his character killed off as season 2 begins? The Syfy channel wants the viewers to tune in, and find out. Saul was born on July 2 1948. He is a gifted actor, who specializes in sci-fi. He appears as a guest on many scientific series, or as a science fiction expert on crime series. Rubinek also was on Star Trek: The Next Generation. He played Kivas Fajo for a while on that series. Rubinek has also done films, with Wallstreet and Unforgiven, being two of the bigger ones.

Well known actress C. C. H. Pounder appears in Warehouse 13, as Mrs. Irene Frederic, the person Artie has to answer to. She is cast similar to the character the late John Forsythe portrayed, on Charlies Angels. Pounder is seen, unlike Forsythe, but the mystery is similar. Pounder has numerous credits. Her biggest television role was on The Shield, where she played Detective Claudette Wyms from 2002 until 2008. Pounder has been on episodes of the popular X-Files, Quantum Leap, and The West Wing. Her talents keep her in demand. She recently played a spiritual leader in the smash hit Avatar.

Relative newcomer in the business Allison Scagliotti, plays Claudio Donovan. Claudio is the Warehouse 13 computer hacker. The show seems to have followed the NCIS and Criminal Minds lead with this casting. Claudio is searching to find out if her brother is really dead, or alive. Scagliotti brings a younger fan base to the Syfy channel. Allison wont turn 20 until September 21st. She has been on Zoey 101, and ER, but is most remembered from the series, Drake and Josh. A good showing on Warehouse 13 will open a lot of doors for Allison Scagliotti.

Genelle Williams plays the owner of a bed and breakfast, located near the warehouse. The two agents, Lattimer and Bering reside there. Williams character is named Leena. She will most likely be exposed in season 2, of Warehouse 13. Leena is going to become a complicated character. Williams is from Canada. She was born on February 18, 1984. Genelle is still pretty new to American viewers. She is well known on Canadian television, from her work on the series hit, Radio Free Roscoe. Like Scagliotti, Genelle Williams will be looking to impress producers with Warehouse 13.

Roger Rees has appeared in a handful of Warehouse 13 episodes, as James McPherson, a former agent, who has gone bad. He conflicts with Artie, and is an excellent bad guy. Warehouse 13 has used Rees well so far. He is a good character, because you love to hate him. The veteran actor is 66 years old, born May 5, 1944. Rees is best known from the Cheers series, appearing as Robin Colcord. Rees is a great character actor, having done theater and films, as well as television. He has been in Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, Happy Tears, and The Adventures of Nicholas Nickelby. Producers of Warehouse 13 have a perfect role for Rees. I hope Warehouse 13 keeps Rees around.

The Syfy channel is hoping to expand on an excellent first season, with Warehouse 13. The show had an average of just over 4 million fans for each episode. The numbers should go up this year, if the show can keep good scripts flowing. Obviously channels like Syfy don’t have big budgets like ABC and CBS. The show will have trouble keeping the cast together for future seasons. Warehouse 13 has plots that are somewhat imaginative, but contrast the main characters well. I look for Warehouse 13 to last a few more years, but the show must start to become a little more realistic. The premiere for season 2, will be shown at 9:00 PM EST., on the Syfy channel, July 6, 2010. Don’t miss it.
