I am really loving the new Beverly Hills, 90210. I have to admit I watched the original 90210, you know the one that aired on FOX from 1990-2000. The original series starred Shannen Doherty, Tiffani Thiessen, Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Gabrielle Carteris, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, James Eckhouse, Carol Potter and Douglas Emerson,
I am happy to see the show brought back by the CW. The new cast of Beverly Hills, 90210, stars Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds, AnnaLynne McCord, Dustin Milligan, Ryan Eggold, Jessica Stroup, Micheal Steger, Jessica Lowd, Lori Loughlin, Rob Estes, Jennie Garth, and Shannen Doherty. I certainly am super happy that the two original cast members Doherty and Garth are in the new show. I really, really think it is necessary to bring back Tori Spelling. Why you ask? Well of course it is because her father, Aaron Spelling, produced the show with his company Spelling Television. Plus, you gotta love Tori!
Now back to the new 90210 cast. Like I said I really love the show (both new nad old) and wanted to see what the new cast members have been apart of or where they come from. This is what the rest of the article will be about the new 90210 and cast members.
The new 90210 teen drama was developed by Rob Thomas, Gabe Sachs, and Jeff Judah. It is said that this is the fourth series under the 90210 franchise created by Darren Star. The new show premiered on The CW on September 2, 2008. The show started with a two-hour series premiere event. 90210 is the first series produced by CBS Productions, who is the successor-in-interest- to Spelling Television.
The first actor to be cast in the new show was Dustin Milligan, who plays the part of Ethan Ward, he was cast March 31, 2008. Next to be cast and hired was AnnaLynne McCord, on April 15. The role of Annie Wilson was filled by Shenae Grimes, she was well-known for her role on Degrassi: The Next Generation. The next actor cast was Lori Loughlin, who plays the role of Debbie Wilson, on April 28, 2008. The very next day they cast Jessica Walters as Tabitha Wilson, she plays Annie and Dixon’s Grandmother. Next to be cast was Ryan Eggold, and Micheal Steger. On April 30, Jessica Stroup, joined the cast as Silver. Tristan Wilds (Dixon) and Micheal Steger (Navid) joined the cast on May 2nd. Rounding out the cast Rob Estes was cast May 19 as Harry Wilson, as Dixon and Annie’s father, and Beverly Hills High Principal.
On May 10, it was announced that Jennie Garth, from the original series would join the cast and reprise her role as Kelly Taylor. PerezHilton.com reported on July 2, that Shannen Dougherty would also reprise her role as Brenda Walsh. And I am so glad the two original girls are in the show. Their parts really complete the show and keep it tied to the originality of the show.
Torrance High School and the Peach Pit are also used again in the series, which is really cool.
I especially like the edition of Jessica Lowndes as Adrianna, the theatre goddess who has her own share of demons. Her role completely makes the show much more watchable than it would have otherwise been. Other joined cast members have since been included, but play the smallest of roles. I also believe the role of Dixon was very clever and thought out and very today!
It was reported on January 7, 2009; that Tori Spelling is committed to appear as her original character Donna Martin. Spelling will be in a multi episode story arc and the first episode she will appear in will be Episode 19. Jason Priestley, another original cast member will direct a January episode of 90210.

Shanae Grimes is a Gemini Award winning Canadian actress. She is currently stars as Darcy Edwards on Degrassi: The Next Generation. In 2006, she acted in a Coffee Crisp commercial. She was also a recurring guest on the series Naturally, Sadie. She has also appeared in the ABC movie Picture This, along with Ashley Tisdale and Lauren Collins. In 2005, she was in a film about Shania Twain called Shania: A Life in Eight Albums, where she played Shania Twain at 13-16 years old. In 2008, she played a supporting role in the film True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet. She has has a supporting role and main role in other television shows as well. Shanae was born on October 24, 1989 in Toronto, Canada.
Tristan Wilds started acting at the age of seven. His first professional role was in the 2003 Miracle’s Boys. He is also in the Jay-Z video Roc Boys off the American Gangster album where he is billed as the nephew. Not only that but he has appeared in Lil Flip’s music video Ghetto Mindstate. Not to mention he was is Alicia Keys video for Teenage Love Affair. His films roles has included Half Nelson, The Secret Life of Bees, and he will star is Star Wars director George Lucas’ new film about the Tuskegee Airmen. Tristan Paul Mack Wilds was born on July 15, 1989, on Staten Island, New York. He is well known for his portrayal of Micheal Lee on the HBO series The Wire.
AnnaLynne McCord, was home-schooled and graduated from high school at the age of 15. She appeared in the 2007 horror film remake Day of the Dead, and the 2008 horror film Slaughter. She has made appeareances on Close to Home, The O.C., Rules of Deception, American Heiress. Not to mention she has taken part in 119 or 120 episodes of Ugly Betty, and an episode of the first season of Greek, and fifth season of Cold Case. She also portrayed Eden Ford, in the fifth season of Nip/Tuck. She currently plays the role of Naomi Clark on 90210. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 16, 1987, and goes by her full birth name. professionally. She has been in many films and television shows as well. Her work in impressive.
Dustin Milligan, has starred in several films and television roles including favorites like Runaway, The Messengers, The Butterfly Effect, In The Land of Women, Slither, Amber Frey, Eve, Eight Days To Live, and many others. He has a good record of roles in both television and film, more than what is shown here. He currently stars as Ethan Ward on 90210. He is currently dating his cast member and co-star on 90210, Jessica Stroup, who plays the role of Silver. His work history is awesome, especially for someone who was just born on July 28, 1985. He was born in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.
Jessica Stroup, who plays the rolke of Silver, on 90210, is also a model. She got her very first acting job in 2005, on a guest spot on the teen series Unfabulous. Next she had a small role in Vampire Bats, Southern Comfort, School For Scoundrels, the Hills Have Eyes II, Prom Night, Broken, This Christmas, and Dentyne Ice commercials. She has also been in commercials for numerous products like Honda, Target, and Velveeta. She was born on October 23, 1986; in Anderson, South Carolina. She is a great actress and one of my favorites on 90210. She has also found success since 2005, in several films.
Jessica Lowndes is the great actress who plays the role of Adrianna. She is such a great, and talented actress. She has appeared in the films The Haunting of Molly Hartley and Autopsy. She took supporting and main roles in TV shows like Kyle XY, Dance of the Dead, Saving Milly, To Have and to Hold, Pretty/Handsome, Greek, and Alice I Think. This fabulously talented actress was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on November 8, 1988. She is also a singer and songwriter. Her song Goodbye was used in the TV series Moonlight. She is currently dating her 90210 co-star Adam Gregory, who plays Ty Collins.
Lori Loughlin is best known for her role on the TV series Full House. She is currently playing the role of Debbie Wilson on 90210, as Annie and Dixon’s mother. Her career began when she was just 12 years old, when she began work as a print model. As a teen she appeared in many TV commercials and was seen in print ads like the Sears catalog. At onyl 15, she was cast on the soap opera The Edge of the Night. Her big break arrived with Full House. She is a really great, and talented actress. She was born on July 28, 1964; in Queens, New York. She has had much more work as an actress as well. This is just a little bit of what she has accomplished.
Rob Estes plays the super hot dad on 90210, to Annie and Tristan. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He also had a role of Gilmore Girls, as Jess’s father. One of his first acting gigs was in Days of our Lives playing Glenn Gallagher. Later he gained popularity in Silk Stalkings. He has been on shows like Melrose Place, Law and Order, Special Victims Unit, Suddenly Susan, The Lake, and many others. He was married and has two children with actress Josie Bissett. They are currently divorced. He was born on July 22, 1963; in Norfolk, Virginia. He has been active in the entertainment industry since 1980. He really is a great actor, especially on 90210.
Jessica Walter plays the role of the stage grandmother and alcoholic on 90210. Her earliest role was in Play Misty for Me. She has has much success in films and television. She was born on January 31, 1941; in Brooklyn, New York. Her other films have included Dr. Strange, Amy Prentiss, Play Misty For Me, and Grad Prix. She is married to the actor Ron Leibman, who she co-starred with in Neil Simon’s play Rumors. She has also appeared in the film Dummy, and Law & Order.
