The Best Karaoke Bars in Dallas, Texas

Karaoke, Karaoke Bars

Doesn’t it always seem like when you’re looking for a karaoke bar you can’t find one, or it’s not the right night at the right bar? If you don’t sing karaoke on a regular basis, you have probably run into this same problem. Now, I’m a terrible singer, even by myself in the shower, but being a good singer isn’t the only point of karaoke night. You go to watch, participate, sing along, and even poke fun.

So let me be your guide to your next karaoke adventure. I promise to get you to the right bar on the right night without all the research.

It just so happens that there are three amazing bars in the Dallas area that also host a karaoke night or two every week. The great thing about these bars is the fact that besides the karaoke, they have amazing food, drinks, prices, and people. Their main function is to be a bar and they throw in the karaoke for us to have some extra fun.

So read below and mark your calendar so you won’t miss out on these singing sensational nights.

First up, and my number one favorite, is Big Al’s MAT (McKinney Avenue Tavern) in uptown Dallas, http://thematonline.com/wordpress/location/. If you have ever listened to 106.1 Kiss FM, you know Big Al. He is a DJ by day and a bar owner by night, and boy does he know how to throw a party. Every Thursday night at the MAT you can find great drink specials and karaoke fun. They have an amazing list of music from all decades that will have you up out of your seat and singing along. A bonus for people that are out to meet new people, through the month of May the Dallas WAKA kickball league will be partying at the MAT on Thursday nights too, so come dressed casual and meet, great, eat, and grab a mic!

Next up on your karaoke quest is Uptown Bar and Grill, http://uptownbarandgrill.com/. This is a perfect choice for those of you out and about the town when one friend mentions that karaoke would be fun. Uptown Bar and Grill is conveniently located on McKinney Avenue right next door to Renfro’s and Sfuzzi. This seems to be the place to go for bachelorette parties, a girls’ night out, or for that last minute idea. It doesn’t matter if you stop in on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, you will have an outstanding time meeting and greeting the pretty people of Dallas.

The last karaoke bar on my list is known as one of the oldest sports bars to grace Greenville Avenue. If you’re looking for a serious karaoke bar contest and a great place to perform in, then look no further and head straight to San Francisco Rose. This website will have the contest details as soon as they come up, http://www.sanfranciscorose.com/special_events.html.

Until then, stop by on Friday nights and get some practice in an outstanding atmosphere with even better drinks and food.
