This is a very basic tent and will not protect you from bad weather, but if you are looking for a good cover in descent weather this tent will work well. The Tent 1 sleeps one person and the Tent 2 sleep 2 people, the tent 1 has a carry weight of just 3.6 pounds. This is a great tent when you are looking for something simple to sleep in when you are an a hike.
North Peak Hyper Lite Backpacking Tent: This tent is just $49.95 and is a very good value for your money. This tent will sleep two people, and has a full fly with a mesh door. This is your standard backpacking tent, and works great for two hikers. This tent is small so you will be sharing close quarters with your friend, but most backpacking tents are very small. One of my favorite features of this tent is the inside mesh pockets that keep small items off the floor of your tent, this comes in really handy for holding a small flashlight and other essentials. This tent also includes a rain-fly to help keep you dry. The pack weight of this tent is about 4-5 pounds, easily carried while hiking.
Mountainsmith Satellite 1 person Tent: If you are going on a long hike by yourself this is the tent you are looking for. This tent costs $79 and sleeps one person. This is a very small tent, but it is also very light at just over 2 pounds. This tent has a netting on top that allows for a lot of circulation, and also allows you to see the stars at night. This tent is extremely easy to set up with color coded poles, you can’t mess up. This is a perfect one person tent.
