Ten Most Fitting Theme Songs in WWE Today

Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, Ted Dibiase

Professional wrestling has long been known for its catchy theme songs. As a matter of fact, a theme song can often make or break a superstar. It adds just a little bit of extra flavor to a superstar’s gimmick and generally draws either a positive reaction or a negative reaction, depending on the face/heel affiliation of said superstar. In putting together this list, I thought of the active superstars on World Wrestling Entertainment’s roster and decided to count down what I believe to be the ten most fitting theme songs in WWE today.

#10: Ted DiBiase Jr. – “I Come from Money”

When you think of Ted DiBiase Jr., you certainly don’t equate his look or his personality to rap music, but the lyrics certainly fit his character. The son of “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, this second-generation superstar also enjoys the finer things in life. While his career has yet to really take off since he split from fellow second-generation wrestler Cody Rhodes over a year ago, DiBiase has the heritage and the potential to make it big in WWE.

#9: Kane – “Veil of Fire”

Kane’s music has always fit his character, with his current theme song being no different. The Big Red Monster” has been rocking and rolling for over a decade and a half and still scares the daylights out of his opponents – and his current tag team partner Daniel Bryan – to this day.

#8: Big Show – “Crank It Up”

From the moment “Well, it’s the Big Show …” hits, everyone knows that destruction is in store for whoever dares to get in this 7-foot, 441-pound giant’s way. The reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion is doing some of the best work of his career at the age of 40, but Big Show remains one of the most dominating forces in the world’s number one wrestling promotion.

#7: Daniel Bryan – “Flight of the Valkyries”

This definitely isn’t your typical wrestling theme song, but then again, Daniel Bryan isn’t your typical wrestler. He’s undersized, he has an epic beard, and he’s a vegan. Therefore, he deserves to have a unique theme song, which he does. Right now nobody knows if he’s a face or a heel and nobody seems to care. When his music hits, everyone goes crazy for “The World’s Toughest Vegan.”

#6: The Undertaker – “Rest in Peace”

I tried to reserve this list for active superstars, but I just couldn’t leave “The Deadman” off it, despite the fact that he hasn’t wrestled since WrestleMania 28, when he ran his WrestleMania undefeated streak to 20-0. As soon as the gong sounds, it sends chills down everyone’s spine. To this day, The Undertaker possesses one of the most fitting theme songs in WWE.

#5: Sheamus – “Written in My Face”

Irishmen who love to fight are no strangers to professional wrestling (i.e., Fit Finlay), but Sheamus is the first-ever Irish-born world champion in WWE history, and his music fits him to a T. “The Celtic Warrior” burst on to the scene in WWE’s version of Extreme Championship Wrestling just a few short years ago, but he quickly rose to the top and has now enjoyed multiple reigns at the top of the mountain.

#4: Dolph Ziggler – “Here to Show the World”
http://www.wwe.com/videos/dolph-ziggler-entrance-video-25049562

When Dolph Ziggler first arrived in WWE, he was a member of the all-male cheerleading faction known as the Spirit Squad. As the only remaining member of the group in the company, Ziggler is now a man with very fitting nicknames in “The Show-Off” and “The #Heel,” but he also has theme music that explains just who he is in the lyrics. He’s here to show the world and he likely isn’t going anywhere for a long time to come.

#3: Ryback – “Meat on the Table”

The latest “Next Big Thing” in WWE, Ryback is reminding fans of the gimmick given to Goldberg when he was a part of World Championship Wrestling over a decade ago, so much so that they chant the former wrestler’s name every time “Big Hungry” hits the ring. He already finds himself in the main event picture and he has all the tools to do what Goldberg did for WCW as long as the bookers keep him strong.

#2: CM Punk – “Cult of Personality”

It may be an old song, but it’s one that is perfect for “The Best in the World” and the reigning WWE Champion (a championship he has held for 352 days and counting). CM Punk is another one-of-a-kind superstar who is carving his place in WWE history each and every week. If you don’t believe me, all you have to do is listen to the reception that the man gets and hear one of his famous pipe bombs.

#1: Randy Orton – “Voices”

He hears voices in his head. They counsel him, they understand. They talk to him. It seems that no matter what he does, “The Viper” is loved by the WWE Universe. With that said, you never know what he’s going to do next. That’s just more reason to be a fan of the “Apex Predator.”
