Super Bowl Party Game Ideas

Football Party

It’s time to get ready for the Super Bowl! In just a few short weeks, football fans will be gathering together to watch the last game of the season, and non-football fans will be happily celebrating the end of football season! If you’ll be hosting a football party or Super Bowl party this year, you may be in need of a few Super Bowl party games that can be played before the game, and during halftime. Use these Super Bowl party game ideas to get started.

Super Bowl Beer Bash

For obvious reasons, this game can only be played by guests 21 and over who will not be driving home. To play, you’ll need canned beer and plastic cups. Label each cup with a number (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5) and then pour a different beer in each one. Place the beer cans where the guests can see them, and hand out the beer to the players. The object is to see who can guess which cup contains which beer. Your guests may need to sample several sips of each beer to get this game right.

Super Bowl Party Word Search

While the adults are playing Super Bowl Beer Bash, the younger crowd (and non-drinkers) can enjoy finding NFL related words in a word search. Make your own word search online (it’s free!) and print out several copies of the puzzle. Words that can be used include team names, football equipment, player names, and more. The first person to find all the words wins a prize!

Super Bowl Betting Pool

Most adults enjoy adding a little excitement to a football party by betting on the game. This is especially true during the Super Bowl. If guests are in agreement, arrange a Super Bowl Betting Pool to take place during the party. You can find free printable betting grids online, which also offer instructions on how it should be used. We have used the website Print Your Brackets(www.printyourbrackets.com) in the past for our Super Bowl party games, and we’ve found them very simple to use and understand. Remember to have guests buy in to the betting pool before the game begins!

Super Bowl Bingo

Everyone at the football party can play this game. Just get a blank sheet of paper and draw out five columns and five rows. In the boxes, have your guests write products or companies that they think will be advertised during the commercials. For example, in one box you could write Pepsi, and in another box you could write AT&T;, etc. When the commercials come on, guests can mark off the boxes on their Super Bowl Party Bingo boards. The first person to get five in a row marked off wins a prize!

Super Bowl Hot Toss

While it’s tempting to arrange all the football party games with adults in mind, it’s important to include Super Bowl party ideas for guests of all ages too. That’s not to say adults can enjoy these games, it’s just that they are primarily there for the younger guests. To play this game, you’ll need a soft football (consider using a Nerf football) and have guests toss the football around to each other while music plays. When the music stops, the person left holding the football is out and the game continues until just one person remains. This person is the winner of Super Bowl Hot Toss!
