Now, kids can make this homemade whimsical photo album any size they want. It can be a standard photo size like 4X6 inches or even a larger 8X10 like a regular photo album.

If you want a more rigid or sturdy photo album cover, then use some foam core board. For a softer photo album use some fun foam.

Now, cut out 2 pieces of foam core board or fun foam out to the same size. These will be the cover of the photo album.

Use fun foam cut outs to embellish the front of the photo album. You can also use flat backed gemstones, wooden cutouts, paint pens, and puff paint pens.

Now, let the cover of your photo album dry while you work on the inside of this easy craft project.

Now, cut out sheets of fun foam in various colors. They should be about ½ an inch smaller than your photo album cover.

You can use fun foam to cut out small triangles to act as picture corners, like you see in vintage photo albums.

Lay your photo in place on the fun foam. Add a little glue to the triangle and glue one down on each corner of the photos. If you to be able to change out the photos, then make sure the glue does not touché the photos. You can also cut out square of fu foam and then cut out the center like a frame.

Glue three sides of the “frame” and attach it to the photo album. You can slide any photos you want inside. You can also glue photos directly to the fun foam pages.

Use paint pens, puff paint pens, and markers to write captions for your photos.

Now, let all of the paint and glue dry.

Use a hole punch to make two holes on the left side of every cover and page of the photo album. These should line up when the book is assembled.

Now, you can use yarn or ribbon and slip it through the fun foam holes to tie the homemade photo album together! Tie the bow in the front or the back.

You can easily add more pages to your photo album in minutes as your photo collection grows! This would be a fun summer project for the kids to make each summer as a sort of yearbook for the family!
