Songs with the Word Dance in the Title

Lee Ann Womack, Urban Cowboy

I really love to dance and of course dancing usually requires a great song to accompany it. Some of my favorite songs have the word dance in some form in the title. These songs are inspirational, thought provoking, and romantic. I especially like to country-dance so my list is all country songs. If you need a good song to dance to, they are all great for dancing. Here are five great songs with the word “dance” in the title.

First Great Song with Dance in the Title

I Just Want to Dance with You” by George Strait is a nice romantic song that is also great to dance to. If I am out dancing and this song comes on, I do my best to find a dance partner. The song was released in 1998 and was a number one song on June 6. It was written by Roger Cook and John Prine. The song is romantic and has a great beat for dancing the cha cha.

Second Great Song with Dance in the Title

We Danced” is a song by Brad Paisley that tells the story of a courtship with dancing as a main part of the courtship. The song was written by Chris Dubois and Brad Paisley. It is another romantic song. It was on the 1999 album “Who Needs Pictures.” It is a sweet song that tugs at my heartstrings. The idea of dancing in the arms of someone you love gets to me.

Third Great Song with Dance in the Title

The Dance” by Garth Brooks is one of my favorite all time songs. This song was written by Tony Arata and Henry Drsydale-Wood and it was released in 1989. It is a profound song that says a lot about life and what we would miss if we missed out on the pain. It is a great song for a slow dance.

Fourth Great Song with Dance in the Title

I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack is an inspirational song. The song was written by Tia Sillers and Mark Sanders and was released in 2000. The main line of the song is, “And when the time comes for you to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.” The song really inspires one not to sit on the sidelines of life. The song was featured in Tyler Perry’s “The Family that Preys.”

Fifth Great Song with Dance in the Title

“Could I Have This Dance” by Anne Murray is another one of my all time favorite songs. It was part of the soundtrack for the 1980 movie “Urban Cowboy.” It was written by W. Holyfield and B. House. I love the romance in this song. I always wanted a partner for the rest of my life that would hold me in his arms and we would dance. It is a perfect song for just such an occasion. It is a great song for a waltz.

As far as songs with dance in the title, I think these are all great songs. I love the romance and the inspiration that comes through in these songs. I hope you enjoyed my list of songs and I hope you will want to dance.
