Some Fun Jobs Ideas

We all know someone who has a job that fits them perfectly, they are always happy about their job and honestly don’t really “work” they just do what they love and get paid for it. Here is a list of some ideas, ways to turn something you love into a job.

We will start with jobs for people who love kids-
the obvious jobs are those that require degrees, teacher, pediatric nurse or Dr, psychiatrist, but there are plenty that do not require a degree :
You can watch kids- Nanny, daycare provider, babysitter, respite or full-time foster parent.
You can entertain kids- Kids party planner, kids photographer, clown or magic performer, camp counselor
You can teach kids- Tutor, sports coach, church teacher, music teacher, classroom helper, dance teacher. You can even create a space where kids can come and play, hang out, create, learn- with kids the possibilities are endless.

Next we will talk about fun jobs for people who like food-
If you love to eat food, cook food, create new recipes and improve upon old ones these will be jobs for you:
If you like to cook food-
As an employee you can get experience at a bakery, restaurant, catering company or even a local candy store and work towards owning your own.
Another fun and less involved slice of the restaurant world is a food truck or even just a food cart, you can start small and just focus on a few dishes and build a fan base before you branch out.
Make cakes or cupcakes for wedding and parties.
If you would rather not get all the permits to sale food you can instead teach cooking classes or make cook books and or cooking blogs.
If you like to eat food or just be around food-
Food photographer, for menus, magazines, online publications, cook books, start out by taking as many photos of food that you can on your own and build a portfolio of your photos and then start pursing jobs (non-paid or paid) to put in your resume and go from there
Food critic, restaurant critic- this usually is a newspaper job but can also be for publications like magazines but could also be for a blog online, build a reputation as a credible voice in the food world and soon you’ll be getting free food and special treatment!

Fun jobs for people who like fashion-

If you like to shop- a job as a buyer or a personal shopper would be perfect, or on the higher end the job as a stylist would be right up your ally too (offer your services free for a while to gain credibility)
If you like to sew- seamstress at a dress shop or high end store, or at a independent tailor, or sew your own clothes and sell them online or in boutiques, you can also be a re-constructor or old or out of style clothes, making them new and updated- GREEN fashion is in!
If you like to be around clothes- a job at any clothing store will suit you well, your fashion advise and expertise may help you get a better job as your boss’s see how in-tune you are to the things you’re selling.
If you are interested in being a designer- you can apprentice with a designer, open your own shop (in real life or online at etsy.com)

Fun jobs for people who like Animals-
Jobs that require degrees- Veterinarian, zoo keeper
Jobs that don’t require a degree- Dog walker, Pet sitter, groomer, pet photographer, pet chef, dog trainer, service dog trainer,
Jobs as employees- Vet receptionist, pet supply store, pet retreat center, humane society or pet shelter

Fun jobs for the those who like to draw-
Illustrator for books, Comic book (or comic strip) artist, graphic designer, greeting card artist, window artist, Art teacher or instructor.

Fun jobs for people who like music-
Music teacher, voice teacher, movie track composer, wedding musician, recording studio producer, dj, manager of band or musician, or hey reach for the stars- be a STAR

Fun jobs for the crafty-

Art teacher, Etsy business owner, zazzle product designer, seamstress, wedding planner/decorator, craft store employee or owner, studio owner, craft show booth owner, independent seller to local boutiques and stores.
