Slicing – the New Highlights Hair Trend

Hair Highlights, Hair Trend, Slicing

Chances are that you may have always wanted to get highlights. Or perhaps you have already had them in the past and truly loved the way that they looked. If so, you may want to think about the newest hair highlighting technique that is being used nowadays. Learn more about what this highlighting technique is and some of the benefits which are associated with it, in order to help determine whether or not this is something that you may want to think about.

What Are Slicing Highlights?

Slicing is when hairstylists weave highlights into your hair. They weave them underneath the top layer of hair. The reason is so that you can wear them without the weaving being seen by others. The highlights are very thin and the only time that you can actually see them is when you wear all or part of your hair back.

Do They Look Real As Real As Regular Highlights?

Most people think that slicing highlights do not look a whole lot different than regular hair highlights. They look just as real as a normal hair weave would look, except for the fact that you cannot see where they have been weaved in, as it is going to be covered by another layer of hair. Since they do look pretty real, no one will probably ever know that they are fake unless you tell them! The only difference is that your top layer of hair will not be highlighted, but many people do not want this part highlighted anyway. Even if they did look fake, however, many people would rather have them than traditional hair highlights because of the benefits which are involved with having them!

What Are the Benefits of Slicing Highlights?

One of the main reasons that so many people avoid getting highlights in their hair is because you need to continuously keep dying the roots of your hair. If you have very dark hair and you have very light blonde hair highlights, your roots can become extremely noticeable within as little as three to four weeks. If you want to avoid going through the hassle of having to keep re-dying your highlights in your hair, you will only need to worry about managing the hair that has been woven in. You may not need to get new highlights woven into your hair as frequently as you will need to get your highlights re-dyed, depending on how long it takes your hair to grow. Even though you will need to manage the hair which has been weaved into your layer of hair, it will not grow out – and this is always a plus for anyone who wants to get highlights!
