Sports activities on The Powderhorn include downhill skiing, cross country skiing and snowboarding. All trails are open to snowboarders. Cross country rentals and groomed trails available six miles south of Powderhorn on top of the Grand Mesa. Cross country ski or snowshoe on groomed or back country trails through groves of aspen and pine. Snowmobile on top of the Grand Mesa for incredible valley vista and mountain views.

The Powderhorn Mountain has a base elevation of 8,200 feet and summit elevation of 9,850 feet. The vertical drop is 1,650 feet. There are 600 total ski able acres: 20% beginner, 50% intermediate, 15% advanced, 14% expert. The average snowfall is 250 inches There are three lifts (one quad and two doubles).
Powderhorn’s Ski and Snowboard School is designed to help skiers learn in a fun, safe environment. Lessons are available for first timers or more advanced. Group and private lessons are available for ages 8 to adult. Instructors teach the basics or give skiers the tools to move from the intermediate slope to steep, more advanced terrain.
There are fantastic views from the Powderhorn which sits 4,000 feet above the valley. skiing at the Powderhorn is challenging and rustic, with miles of trails to exhilarate the skier.
Lift Tickets are: Adult (26 – 59) weekend holiday full day $48, weekday non holiday full day $43. There are also spacial rates for young adults, students, senior and children 6 and under. There is also special pricing for groups 25 and over, arranged in advance.

Powderhorn’s Inn at Wildewood is Powderhorn’s only ski in and lout lodging property. The property accommodates up to 50 guests, featuring renovated deluxe and mini suites. With the ski slopes right outside the door, the slopes are an convenient as can be to the guest suites.

Goldenwoods Condominiums is located slope side at Powderhorn Ski Resort. This condominium property has the nearest location to the ski lifts, for convenience to skiing and for that much needed break.
The one, two and three bedroom condominiums are fully furnished with complete kitchens and have: queen sized beds, satellite television, VCR’s, and two person bath tubs.
