Sinus Buster: A Fiery, Natural Remedy for Sinus Relief

Nasal Sprays, Sinus Relief

Having suffered from sinus congestion for more than two years, I was desperate to find a solution to my problems. I’d been to my doctor, had diagnostics done and had been put on prescription medications. However, nothing seemed to relieve my congestion. In my situation, the congestion was constant throughout the year, day and night.

After the first several weeks of being congested and miserable, I found an over the counter nasal spray. After using it once, I found that my symptoms were instantly relieved. The directions on the bottle state that the product shouldn’t be used for more than three days in a row. I however, had so much luck with the product that I continued to use it long term.

What I didn’t realize until later was that this over the counter nasal spray wasn’t helping my condition, it was simply masking the symptoms. On the television, I saw a health program talking about how people across the country were becoming “hooked” on over the counter nasal sprays. Instead of treating conditions, these sprays actually shorten the duration of action each time they are used, causing the user to have to continue to use it more and more often for instant relief.

On the health program, they gave two different alternatives for this type of problem as a means for getting off of over the counter nasal sprays for good. The first way to get off the medication is to simply stop it and suffer until the symptoms diminish on their own. The alternative is to try a natural, homeopathic remedy called Sinus Buster that uses Capsaicin to reduce inflammation and congestion of the sinuses. It is also recommended for the treatment of migraines and headaches and sinus problems as a result of allergies.

Sinus Buster was created by a man who was sprayed in the face with mace as part of a demonstration. As soon as he was sprayed, he realized that his constant headache was instantly gone. Realizing what a great remedy this was, he created various forms of Sinus Buster nasal spray.

So, I tried Sinus Buster Nasal Spray. I ordered the original formula in the metered dose; I’d tried other nasal sprays in non-metered dose forms and knew what kind of a mess they were, so I chose the metered dose. It was about twenty dollars including shipping, but I thought that if it could get me off the over the counter nasal sprays, it’d be worth it.

The instructions say that the spray can be used multiple times throughout the day, whenever needed and to use up to three sprays per nostril. However, it is difficult to get through three sprays! One spray the first time around was enough to cause me to jump right out of my seat! The pepper extract is, well, extremely peppery. It feels like straight pepper has been sprayed right up the nostril. I came to call the product, my Fire Spray, as it sort of felt like my nose was on fire every time I used it.

But I sucked it up and used it as directed. I noticed some improvement. When I used it, I became less stuffed up. At the end of the day, before bedtime-which was always the most miserable of times with a stuffed up nose, I felt less pressure in my sinuses. It wasn’t enough, though, for me to be able to breathe freely through my nostrils… like my over the counter stuff.

So I stuck with it. I used it until it was completely gone! I used it as directed, no matter how flaming hot my nose felt, and I used it in its entirety. In the end, I was still stopped up and ended up falling off the wagon and going back to my old ways of using the over the counter sprays with the oh-so effective, yet harmful, drug oxymetazoline HCL.

The commercials for Sinus Buster, website and health programs boast that this product works for thousands of people with various ailments. Perhaps my problem was simply something that couldn’t be fixed by a pepper remedy. Perhaps I received a defective bottle. Perhaps, it really just doesn’t work as well as they claim. Regardless, this was my experience with Sinus Buster. It may work for some, but it sure didn’t do much for me.

The price for the product along with the discomfort of using it for minimal effect was simply not worth it.
