To make this simple Clay Poker Chip picture frame you will need:

Clay Poker Chip

1 inexpensive wood picture frame

Hot glue

Primer

Paint

Paint Brushes

Sand Paper

Photograph

I find great little wooden picture frames at the dollar store, flea markets, yard sales, and even Wal Mart. They are super cheap and perfect to turn into this simple Clay Poker Chip frame craft project.

So, the first thing I like to do is lightly sand the picture frame. Make sure you take the back off and the glass out.

Wipe off any dust.

Paint on a layer of primer.

Now, once that has dried go ahead and paint your picture frame in any color you like. The whole reason to paint this frame is that you can see it behind the Clay Poker Chip, so you want it to match. I like to paint ht reframe in milk paint to keep it matte and matching the clay poke chips.

Once the paint had dried you can start to glue on your miniature gumdrops. I like to use Clay Poker Chip for this simple poker themed craft project b thou could use plastic chips that you paint in milk paint as well.

For an elegant look try gluing all white or yellow Clay Poker Chips onto the frame. You can run a bead of hot glue along the frame and start pushing the back of the Clay Poker Chips into the glue.

Don’t forget to cover the sides of the frame with miniature gumdrops as well.

Now, if you used all blue clay poker chips you should glue on a fun little ribbon on the top middle of the picture frame. Look for a poker themed ribbon with aces, kings, and queens on them.

For a fun and girly look for a girl’s poker night room you could use all white clay poker chips to cover the entire picture frame. Glue on a fun little ribbon with hearts, diamonds, and spades on it and put a picture of your poker playing girls in there.

To really preserve this simple clay poker chips frame let the clay poker chips and glue dry completely for about 1 days. Then spray on a coat of clear acrylic spray paint. Then glue on the ribbon or bow.

Clay poker chips are also a great size for really small picture frames because they can make a thin frame look more substantial. Be sure to use a really strong glue, like epoxy glue, if you use a thin or small frame! Hot glue may not hold the poker chips in place if the frame is going to be picked up a lot. Epoxy or clear plastic glue will do the trick though!
