Super Target, Wolf Camera, Barnes and Noble, Men’s Warehouse, Albertson’s, Macey’s, Ross, and many other stores are located on the same street as Pinewood Lodge. The nearness of these stores are conveniently located to serve the needs of seniors living at the Lodge. Additionally, Walgreen’s is located within a short walking distance from the Lodge, in order to serve seniors’ prescription needs.
If you have friends or family visiting and want to go out for dinner rather than cook, there are many restaurants to choose from. Mimi’s Café, Olive Garden, Chili’s, Red Lobster, Village Inn and many more are within close distance from the Lodge. With so many choices, there is something to fit everyone’s tastes. For dessert, stop at the Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream.
Particularly active seniors may enjoy a round of golf, a walk in the park, or feeding the geese at the pond close by. You can enjoy other seniors’ company at the local senior center. Additionally, the Wings museum is located near the Lodge for a fun afternoon of educational exploring. For something different, you can easily take a bus to downtown Denver, where numerous shops, museums, and activities regularly occur. A bus stop is conveniently located directly outside of Pinewood Lodge.
Pinewood Village not only offers residents opportunities to visit with family and friends at the numerous attractions near the facility, but also at the Lodge itself. Seniors may visit with their loved ones in the spacious two-story living room, which contains beautiful oil paintings, a fire place, a grand piano, and a lot of sunshine through the many windows that occupy the room. The room is perfect for visiting with your loved ones or other residents. You can also take walks around the grounds and rest when you need to on the benches that accompany the courtyards. Alternatively, recline in the rocking chairs that inhabit the outside patio.
The Lodge’s Activities and Crafts room offers a treadmill residents may exercise on. It also houses materials residents may use to do art projects such as ceramics or painting. The Lodge’s library offers several books for residents to enjoy. Additionally, the game room includes game tables, where you can engage in a game of bridge with your friends. The Mountain View Room is spacious, allowing its use for different types of gatherings. It includes a kitchen, tables, and chairs, which are perfect for celebrations. Finally, Pinewood Lodge includes its own barbershop and beauty salon, making it incredibly easy for residents to get their hair done as often as they like.
Pinewood Lodge offers two floor plans, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. One-bedroom apartments are approximately 534 square feet. They include a living room, a bedroom, closet space, a spacious bathroom, and kitchen. One-bedroom apartment rent is $537 each month. In addition, there are a certain number of handicapped one-bedroom apartments, which are specially designed to aid handicapped seniors. The rent for these apartments is also $537 per month.
Two-bedroom apartments range from 679-1080 square feet. Similar to one-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom apartments offer a kitchen, closet space, and a living room. Two-bedroom apartments also include two bedrooms, two bathrooms, dining room area, and a pantry in the kitchen. Two-bedroom apartments cost $645 per month.
Every apartment includes its own heating and air conditioning unit, so that each individual may control the temperature in the apartment. Each kitchen includes several amenities: garbage disposal, stove, self-cleaning oven, dishwasher, and wood cabinets.
Further, each apartment contains a washer and dryer hook-up, allowing residents to purchase their own washer and dryer units. Alternatively, seniors may rent a stacked washer and dryer unit. The apartment complex possesses a secure entrance, while allowing seniors to let their visitors in by unlocking the entrance from their own apartment.
